Tried my hand at macrameโ! First project, inspired by sister Veena ๐ค
Behind all the neatly and properly finished projects there are some of these ๐. I had some yarn stash to bust, so picked up this nice looking super easy bag pattern. I completed crocheting the whole bag, weaved in the ends, made the handles, and stringed them in. I wondered for more than a week that something didnโt look quite right and then realized that it is missing one whole section. It was meant to be a hexagon and I had ended up with pentagon ๐๐๐โโ๏ธ. Attention and math at the right time are crucial, even with patterns that you think can be done mindlessly.
Simple does it! Back to the basics ๐

Thankful for a dear friend who thought that her visiting sister-in-law this Thanksgiving should have a couple of my paintings. I also appreciate how this witty friend sees emotions and expressions in all paintings. She had her SIL look through my albums and select two paintings that were available. She texted that she loved the cow followed by a comment โShe is sassy that cow!โ ๐. Then another text โWill take the cow, plus these fish that appear to be gossiping!โ ๐๐
Twisted Head bands, kids size! Used up all the yarn left over from making the cowls I posted a few months ago ๐

It has been two months already since my last post here! Among other things, I was away in the land down under for a family vacation. Everywhere we went, the Australian Aboriginal artwork caught my attention. Here are a few glimpses. I found the symbolism and story-telling aspect quite similar to the Indian tribal arts.
