I know this isn’t what everyone was expecting but, I built this as a one day build while letting some paint and glue dry on another diorama. I got this terrax from eBay for a really great price a while ago and decided to give him his floating island. I know it’s been a while since my last piece, but here’s another one for the books. This diorama was commissioned by a coworker @____fredfred46 that grew up around this area of town near San Bernardino California, which is a very iconic spot there. He asked if I could add some tagging on the wall barrio style and make it a bit gritty. diorama breakdown: smokestack base is from a 1 1/4” pvc cut to length wrapped and binding in skinny foam and layered some AK interactive asphalt paint, then stenciled and hand painted the lettering. And a little fyi the papers are actual newspapers about the Santa Fe smokestack and railroad During the time in operation. The weeds are an old paintbrush that I cut, glued and painted. Wanted to give a big thanks to For these amazing telephone poles. One of my favorite things about this hobby is discovering stuff I didn’t know I needed. I definitely didn’t know I need 1/12 scale telephone poles but I’m super stoked to have these. And speaking of stuff I didn’t know I needed the pigeons by are another perfect example of that.
