Our Business 40 project in Winston-Salem, NC recently reached a major milestone with the removal of the temporary falsework supporting the Green Street Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge is now a fully functional suspension bridge with one-of-a-kind dual splayed tied arches. Final aesthetic work is currently in progress including custom fencing and lighting. Thank you everyone who helped make this milestone possible. Be sure to check back for more updates as Business 40 continues to progress.

Let's put our hands together for the Aviation Parkway project! The Aviation team just installed the final girders, an important milestone in the progression of the project. If you happen to drive by the Aviation Parkway exit on I-40, be sure to take a look at the progress and give our Aviation team a wave. We're thrilled to see this project taking shape. The Flatiron-led US 220/NC 68 Connector and Piedmont Triad International Airport Taxiway projects were recently awarded the Community Impact Award at the DBIA Southeast 2020 Design-Build Project Team Awards Ceremony. This meaningful award recognizes design-build teams that have shown outstanding commitment to triple bottom-line success - economic, environmental and social. We are honored to have been involved in such an impactful project! Congratulations to everyone who helped make this project possible.

'Jug-Handle' Bridge Work An Intricate Dance | Coastal Review Online Construction of the "jug-handle" bridge around Pea Island isn't an ordinary bridge project, especially with the environmentally sensitive surroundings and other construction challenges.

Last Saturday, our Business 40 Project team had the honor of attending Dash The Salem Parkway, a celebratory event hosted by the Winston-Salem Dash offering community members a sneak peek of the roadway prior to its official opening. Attendees joined together for food and games and even had the opportunity to walk a section of the new roadway. We'd like to extend a huge 'thank you' to the Winston-Salem Dash, North Carolina Department of Transportation, City of Winston-Salem, NC - Government and our joint-venture partner, Blythe Development Company for making all of this possible. To the Winston-Salem community, we thank you for your ongoing support as we work to complete the Business 40 Reconstruction Project.

We'd like you to meet Khalifa Sylla, an Estimator in our District office in Morrisville. Khalifa began his career with Flatiron two and a half years ago as a Field Engineer at our Greensboro Western Loop project site. As the Western Loop Project came to a close, Khalifa decided to pursue an opportunity within the Estimating Department.
