Mechanics

1. Each group shall be composed of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 dancers Members of the groups may be composed of all males or females, or any combination thereof. Any excess or deficient in number of participants will result to a 3-point deduction.

2. No professional dancers shall be part of the group. Failure to follow is automatic disqualification.

3. The group must be at the contest area on or before the specified time, otherwise, there will be a 1-point deduction to the total score.
4. Order of performances per group will be based on the number picked during the meeting.

5. Music
a) Groups must provide their final music in mp3 format during the meeting. No live band or musicians allowed during the performance.
b) The music must be at least five (5) minutes but not more than seven (7) minutes. Any lack or excess in time will have 1-point deduction per minute to the total score.

6. The Organizer will not be held liable for any injury, loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, to any items during the event. Participation in the event is entirely at the dancers’ own risk. Performance of dangerous choreography will not be reflected favorably in the scoring.

7. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and any harm to the performance of other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke generators or combustible material, broken glass, live animals, sharp objects and the like are prohibited.

8. Costume may include accessories such hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. Removing pieces of clothing during the performance is allowed provided that it is not offensive or out of character.

9. The top 3 winners will be the top 3 dance groups with the 3 highest total scores.

10. Prompting of competitors from the backstage or from the audience is not allowed. All participants should conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship throughout the competition. Any demonstration of unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.

11. Failure to comply with any of the foregoing rules and conditions (excluding those with corresponding deductions) will result in disqualification.

12. No Instructors allowed to participate to the contest proper

13. Judges decision is final and irrevocable.
