We took some time to spend with family this holiday season and are so grateful for what this business has given us. For context, 2 years ago I got a wax melter and thermal shipping label printer for Christmas (swipe to see my excitement over my baby wax melter 👉🏻). I was so eager to build this business that my whole Christmas list was items to make candles. Here we are 2 years later and this business covered all the Christmas gifts and expenses. 🎅🏻

To celebrate the end of market season + to clear space for new items, all holiday candles + wax melts are 40% off and to sweeten the deal, all signature candles + wax melts are 25% off. 🔥

Some small but exciting changes are in progress! We’re switching to new labels.

We’re doing this for a few reasons -

1. They’re easily removable, which is great for reusing jars & those who enjoy a more minimal look!
2. We try to avoid plastic where possible, these labels are paper & sustainably sourced meaning less environmental impact.
3. It minimizes the amount of work it takes to prep labels (I’ll be honest, printing labels used to be my least favorite part of the business)

We’re passionate about not wasting material & reducing our environmental impact so you may see some of our old vinyl labels in the coming months while we work through stock & already printed labels.

A few quick updates!

For all you New Englanders…. Y’all know it’s hot right now. Open orders will ship on Friday to make sure no candles melt in transit.

We’re also taking some time off September 8-18th. The shop will remain open but orders will be shipped on September 19th! We’ll still be checking in on emails and messages if anything comes up.

We’ve been away!

We’ve still been fulfilling orders behind the scenes but have been taking things slow & intentional.

Here’s what we’ve been up to -

🪴 Learning about house plants + filling my home with them
🍴 Spending so much time cooking + enjoying food
📚 Reading + Listening to so many great books (no, seriously, like over 50 books so far in 2023)
🏠 Decorating the home we purchased last summer & beginning some small renovations
💍 Spending lots of quality time with my husband and our cats

What’s next for Stout and Bailey?

We’re not planning on going anywhere! Spring is always the slow season & we take advantage of that to recharge.

- We will have a limited 3 scent summer collection dropping sometime soon!
- Citronella candles are on their way - this time, with lids! We listened to your request and are making it happen.

- our inventory has been removed from Etsy, this is to make sure we are fully stocked for the in-person shopping events we have coming up (if there is something specific you are really wanting, send us a DM!)
- we will be announcing the final shopping events of 2022 later this week
- in person delivery / pick-up will be available in the Manchester & Concord area the week of 12/19, more details to come on this!
- we won’t be able to accept any more wholesale orders this year (if you’ve already placed yours, don’t fret, it will still be fulfilled!) but if you are interested, feel free to reach out knowing it wouldn’t be fulfilled until 2023

Y’all.. this past week has been crazy.

Wrapped up my first holiday pre-order & so so soooo thankful for all of you who pre-ordered. I’m ahead of schedule so they’ll be shipped in the next few days ❤️

I fulfilled 3 different wholesale orders this last week & have a few more orders & custom work coming up. Feeling so thankful for these opportunities & those who trust me to include me in their stores & gift boxes 🎁

Yesterday I got to sell my holiday line in person for the first time & the response was amazing! 🎄

All that being said, Holiday Scents have been restocked on the site along with remaining fall inventory!

I’ll be spending the next few weeks with family but will be back at it with first weekend of December. We’ll have gift sets, alllll the candles, and maybe even an exclusive scent…. 😉
