No words for the senseless gun violence at my beloved University of Virginia. Only in America. We need 💔💔💔.
Our hearts are broken at the loss of three members of our community, Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry and our two UVA students currently receiving care from our medical center. Our family truly appreciates all the support from all over the country today. 🧡

Margaret Brainard Hamilton (December 9, 1902 – May 16, 1985) was an American actress. She was best known for her portrayal of the Wicked Witch of the West, and her Kansas counterpart Almira Gulch, in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's film The Wizard of Oz (1939).
A former schoolteacher, she worked as a character actress in films for seven years before she was offered the role that defined her public image. In later years, Hamilton appeared in films and made frequent cameo appearances on television sitcoms and commercials. She also gained recognition for her work as an advocate of causes designed to benefit children and animals and retained a lifelong commitment to public education. 🧙🏻♀️
Today my sister, Mariam Jobrani, would have turned 53 years old. Unfortunately, we lost Mariam to breast cancer in 2017. Not a second goes by when I’m not thinking of her and her lust for life. She was the most alive person I knew, traveling the world to make documentary films, helping anyone she could along the way, and coming back to tell us crazy stories of her encounters around the globe. She met the Dalai Lama, adopted a kid in Tibet and snuck into Kashmir during a civil war just to see what was going on. I can’t help but think that Mariam would be right there with us these days as we support the movement in Iran for freedom and democracy. When I hear of those killed by the regime like and others, I can’t help but share in the pain of a lost one taken too soon by this crazy world. My heart goes out to the families of the victims of this brutal regime and I know Mariam would enjoy cussing out a few mullahs and the supreme leader if she were with us. Hug your loved ones and tell them you love them. From Mariam to the women of Iran - Zan, Zendegi, Azadi
LOVE JANE GOODALL!
