After the experiences I have had traveling so far, I definitely agree this is where true living is.

Obviously traveling is still on a complete pause at the moment. But when the time comes I will be going again.

Now that I work online and choose my own schedule, I look forward to not being constrained when traveling by being on a short limited amount of time, and having to go back to a job I dislike.

We often focus too much on the destination and forget to be present and enjoy the journey. I am guilty of this sometimes! Take one day at a time and enjoy the process.

RESISTANCE TRAINING

There are endless benefits to incorporating resistance training into your routine. To name a few:

✓ Improve mood

✓ Increase in muscle mass therefore burning more calories

✓ Increased bone density (reduced risk of osteoporosis

✓ Improved sleep

✓ Increased self-esteem

Weight training in the gym is great, but if this is not your thing for whatever reason, you can still do very effective resistance training at home (or anywhere) with body weight exercises.

Doing this 2-3 times per week would be plenty to allow the muscles time to recover. Make sure you're trying to improve from session to session gradually, this can be as little as adding an extra rep here and there.

Who is this for?

Almost everyone because if you are not training your muscles, they will shrink, especially as you age.

Summary: Resistance training of some kind is a key part of a healthy lifestyle. It plays a big role in physical health, but an even more immediate benefit is on mental health because of how good you feel from it and the endorphins it releases. It can really help get you in a positive mindset to set you up for the day ahead.

SLEEP

You should be getting at least 7 hours of sleep per night. Ideally 8 hours to be functioning at your best.

I personally resonate with how difficult this can be with society often telling us when we need to get up.

It can be a tricky balance between getting sufficient sleep, and getting up early enough to be productive.

The best solution I have found is to stack all the odds in your favour. This starts with an EARLY NIGHT.

What I mean by this is you want to be going to bed as soon as your body is ready to.

TIPS for switching off at night:

✓ Shut off all screens an hour before bed or your predicted sleep time. This includes your TV and phone.

I know it is pretty much automatic these days to be on our screens, whether it is communicating with others or for entertain purposes. But an hour before bed is really not that much time. If this is too difficult do at least half an hour of no screens before bed.

During this time you can meditate to help close off thoughts or read a book. My favourite method currently is to either put on an audio book, or queue several podcasts on spotify.

Then I will not look at my phone screen again until the next day. I will just turn the volume down to zero when I am sleepy enough.

This always works really well for me shutting off. Play around with what works best for you!

✓ Eat your last meal at least 4 hours before bed

The process of digesting food interferes with the body's ability to properly rest and therefore your sleep quality may be lower.

Avoiding snacks at night can also be great for weight control.

✓ Avoid caffeine unless it is the morning

Did you know caffeine can last in your system for up to 10 hours? And even the smallest amount can negatively effect your sleep.

A study was carried out on spiders comparing the effects of caffeine against every drug you can think of.
Caffeine had the largest impact on the spiders producing by the most deformed webs. Perhaps that tells you something about how powerful caffeine is!

However you know your body best and if caffeine does not effect you in this way, crack on!

✓ Regular exercise

Exercising during the day comes with many benefits, One being that you will be much more likely to be tired at night when you want to be!

It is imperative to first and foremost look after your health before you can really give anything else in life your all, such as your job or business.

Some basic health principles to follow:

✓ Sleep 7-9 hours

✓ Eat mostly wholefoods

✓ Resistance training

✓ Some form of cardio (run, swim, bike, a sport)

✓ Reduce stress - if you're feeling stressed, meditate, exercise, or go do something else you enjoy or that relaxes you

✓ Stretch muscles or do yoga

INTRO

Firstly thank you to everyone that has taken the time visit and like this page, it is very much appreciated.

My name is Joe, I have a passion for travel, and anything to do with health and exercise. I created this page because I decided to start my own online business.

The reason I did this was because of the sheer amount of my time full time work takes up. It leaves very little room for me to do all the things I want to do. I did not want to be stuck in this cycle for another 40+ years and only have true freedom when I am aged 70+.


So I decided to take action into my own hands to create the ideal life for me. This will involve being able to travel around the world, and live anywhere I want by working online.
