Today was for the to help raise awareness about heart disease in women.
I was born with a rare heart condition and growing up many had no clue about anything I ever said when it came to my heart. Many even said I was “making it up” or “it’s not that serious” but it was. Not only did I have open heart surgery young but I even had a stroke on top of the procedure. I continue to face challenges or difficulties due to what I’ve gone through.
I wish there was more awareness on different disability/conditions then what we see on tv. But I made a promise to myself when I was young that one day I’ll raise more awareness
