During Your WIC Appointment
WIC offers more than healthy food. WIC provides an “extra” set of eyes on the health and growth of your child! Your child’s measurements and weight will be taken during your appointment and the WIC nutritionist will go over your child’s growth with you. If the nutritionist feels a follow-up with a health care provider would be best, you will receive a referral.

A call went out this morning with the phone number from the WIC office. We were not attempting to call anyone. We had initally sent out a "One Call" to all clients to inform them of a walk-in clinic. With these calls, it often takes 15-20 seconds before the automated message starts talking. If you hang up before you listen, there is a chance it will continue to call you multiple times. We are unsure as to why this is doing this. So if you are receiving these multiple times, just ignore them. We will try to find another way to send out reminders of events. We are sorry for the confusion.
Thank you for letting us serve you at the Barton County Health Department. We love helping you! Please know that we have a No Call/No Show policy. We kindly ask that you come to our walk-in clinics if you have had three appointments in which you have not come at your scheduled time, nor called to reschedule. Walk-in Clinics are the first Monday of every month from 9-3:00.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
