Happy Thanksgiving, my SWEETS! I'm so grateful for everyone who has liked, followed, ordered, or even just talked me up! You're supporting my dream and it feels absolutely amazing to watch it slowly bloom.

I'm also grateful for my family, but today I'd like to showcase my amazing husband!! He, too, has baking skills, but his are a different set. I don't have the patience he does for pastry! Look at the beautiful bottoms - Ooooh oOOo OOOO!

Dan is Portuguese. He makes the most delicious queijadas! A labor intensive flakey shell filled with a rich custard with hints of lemon and vanilla. There are many variations - some even made with mashed beans! These tiny custard tarts are my favorite. Watching him work his magic is simply astonishing.
