Thank you Edwardsburgh-Cardinal!
Regardless of Monday’s outcome, I’d like to say thank you for the amazing support I have experienced over the course of this election campaign. It has been an honour and a pleasure.
This is a GREAT place to live.

Signs of change.

This picture shows a random sunflower growing along the road near our EC home. Our roads crew took care to mow around it when grooming the ditch.

That is our township in a nutshell.

A great team makes for great community. I am willing to serve our residents as a part of a strong team.

On October 24, please consider voting Martelle for Ward One.

This is our EC.

This sign, helping visitors find the entrance to our business, is located in the corner of our neighbour's field.

That's how we roll in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal. Small business, Agricultural and Residential...all working together to build a GREAT community.

On October 24, please consider voting Martelle in Ward One.

Great night in Roebuck networking with other candidates running throughout South Grenville.

Below is a quote from a social media post (that I was tagged in) made by a twenty-something friend of my son.

“Anyone who lives in the Cardinal area, you need to give a s**t about local politics! Get educated and GO VOTE.”

While his parents might question his choice of words, I certainly applaud his conviction to his community. Today’s youth are perhaps the most knowledgeable and socially aware generation to ever walk the planet. They will manage feats we never imagined. They are already well on their way.

It is, it must be, a priority of any level of government to encourage and engage the younger generation’s interests in the community…and that is true for our municipality. I’m not sure exactly what that looks like in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal, but I know that EC has a wealth of advocates for youth. Council needs to always keep our kids on our political radar.

We have some incredible young people.

Have some bumper/window decals available if anyone is willing to stick on their vehicle. Three colour options. I deliver. They peel off easily after the election. Please p.m. me if you want.

It’s perhaps the second most underdeveloped resource in Ward One.

Hidden behind the shrub and growth, the canal structure is one of the most unique and historic pieces of architecture in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal.

There is a voice in the community hungry to restore and promote the canal. It is a plan that fits in exceptionally well to compliment the current tourism sites in E-C, with a HUGE potential to draw visitors and revenue into our community on a year-round basis.

Working with community leaders to make the canal a focal point in the village is high on my priority list if elected.

Labour Day weekend!

We all have our memories of Cardinal and Labour Day. My favourite might be the year my brother John drove his race car in the parade, merrily revving the engine and burning rubber along the route.

Cardinal has always had a reputation of being a down-to-earth place where the values of hard work and community set the tone. A huge thanks to folks like the Festival Committee, the team at Ingredion, the Cardinal Legion and the countless other volunteers who work to keep that identity alive.

My goal, as Ward One Councillor, would be to make sure Council is part of your team.

I don't have all the answers...and I'm not ready to tell anyone how this township should be ran.

What I am willing to do, if enough voters in Ward 1 want me to do it, is my very best at keeping Edwardsburgh-Cardinal the great place it is now, to actively listen for the voice of the community, and to work with Council and Staff to answer as a team.

As we move forward in this election process, I welcome residents to reach out with their election issues.
