There is a reason the rear view mirror is so small and the windshield is so big. Where you are headed is much more important than what you left behind.
Today is World Amateur Radio Day. When all else fails, Amateur Radio.
As many of you know, I’m a licensed Amateur Radio operator and have talked with people on every continent with the exception of Antarctica. I’ve been licensed for close to 40 years. As much as I love and am fascinated with it I actually got my start in Citizens Band when I was about 12 years old. Below is the radio that got me hooked on radio. It’s the Navaho TRC-23B made by Radio Shack of which I own 3 but none in 100% working order.
Oh noooo! Country Bear Jamboree is closed for refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Oh the humanity!
There be presents under our tree this morning! Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy your holiday celebrations. Good health and good will to all.
Wishing all my family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year!
I didn’t move to Florida for this crap! 😡
On this date in 1966 the world lost Walt Disney. Eleven years after the opening of the iconic Disneyland in California and five years before the realization of Walt Disney World in Florida. Although he never saw WDW he was involved with a lot of the planning. When I walk down Main Street in front of Cinderella Castle I feel his presence. Walt’s vision has brought smiles to countless millions over the years. Thank you Walt for making the world a better place.
Today is the 122nd anniversary of the birth of Walter Elias Disney. Happy birthday Walt and thank you for the magic!
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Amateur Radio operators out there. 73. WX4AR.
Back home now from seven days on the high seas with stops at Tortolla British Virgin Islands and St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands.
Guess where we are?
Look at the strange gents Patsy and I ran into last night.

57 years ago today, Star Trek premiered. It changed my life along with changing pop culture. Currently there is a new movie and a new series in the works. I so look forward to both projects. Live long and prosper!
Today marks the 78th anniversary of the end of World War Two. Thanks to the brave men and women of the greatest generation, the world today would be a very different place.
I finally done it and have gone bald. Did you know that bald men are further along the revolutionary track? When was the last time you’ve seen a bald ape?
I am asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture. A picture that YOU took. No description. The goal is to regain peace and harmony without negativity. Please copy the text, put a picture on YOUR page, and let's look at these. Here is mine.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful wife! I hope your day is filled with joy and happiness. 🎂❤️
I knew I was missing something?
Tony Bennett has passed at the age of 96. RIP Tony!
“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Those words were spoken by Neil Armstrong on this day in 1969 after the lunar lander Eagle landed people on the moon for the first time. It looks likely it may just be a couple of years from now until we go back.
54 years ago today Apollo 11 lifted off from pad 39a at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Days later the first humans walked on the moon. “ One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
Happy Seven of Nine Day!

Mr. Johnson of Ohio introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce
A BILL
To amend the Communications Act of 1934 to prohibit the application of certain private land use restrictions to amateur station antennas, and for other purposes.
Please ask your Representatives to support this bill to end Amateur Radio Antenna restrictions in HOA’s. Amateur Radio operators or better known as Hams provide a crucial service in case of emergency or natural disaster. When all else fails, Ham Radio!
