I know I've been MIA for a bit, but it's been a couple crazy months. My youngest (who, for all intents and purposes, should live in a bubble) had to go in for a combination of bloodwork, bone scans, and genetic testing. All my energy went to him and giving him all the love, support, and attention he required to keep his anxiety at bay, all while hiding my own . However, I finished the book I was working on, edited once, and now it's in for a second round of edits!!! Cover reveal to come, followed by an ARC sign up. Game on, guys!!

I felt the deep inhalation that moved through him, felt the steady thump-thump-thump beneath the palm of my hand. As though he were worried that I'd pull away from him, his arms wrapped around me and slowly drew me close.

There was something about Cole that called out to me and pulled me to him. I'd felt the gravitational pull of his pale eyes when I'd first met him and every moment since. As soon as his arms wrapped around me, all those feelings of insecurity, doubt, and fear, the anger all just seemed to wash out to sea, leaving only warmth and calm in its wake. I clutched at him, desperate to hold onto even a single shard of peace.

He dropped a kiss to the wild tangle of curls. "You're still mine," he growled, the husky words rumbling out of him.
