Next month Gary Paulsen's newest book "Gone to the Woods: Surviving a Lost Childhood" will arrive. In the January issue of the magazine "Story Monsters Ink", Paulsen shares the story about the inspiring Librarian from his childhood who gave him a library card, books to read and a notebook that was the small beginning of his literary career. He accredits this librarian as being one of the few adults in his childhood to help him and really try to make his life better.
I know this pandemic has librarians working even harder to continue to reach those that need positive adult interactions in their lives the most. Keep up the Outstanding work--you never really know who you may be inspiring!
