Last weekend, I attended an Indigenous film premiere here in Abuja with Hon Adedayo . A film by . It was an euphoric moment for me because this is the first of its kind. The first standard Gbagyi film. Lami a film directed by Jb Mairubutu . Tells an interesting story and addresses our societal problem.
I am so excited because this film is a good start. It has shown that it is time for us to start telling our stories. I am glad that I witness history being made.
Congratulations to the director, producer and the crew.
Throwback to the day I visited the hospital after my turbaning in the company of my friends. Giving back to the society is what gives me joy and fulfilment.
Happy New Month, friends.
Never get tired of showing the act of kindness.
“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”
—Maya Angelou.

Over the weekend, I was given an award by Better Life for Women Network during their conference on Politics and the Importance of the Nigerian Women. I am grateful to the foundation for the award and for seeing the need for Women involvement in the Nigerian political space.
My biggest win here is not just the award but how well I was represented by one of my mentees, the PYWF Abuja Chapter's president, Mary Azaki O(). Mary, I am super proud of you and I am grateful for being very reliable. I love you.
Let us keep driving the narrative of Nigerian Women involvement in politics. We cannot have a developed nation if Women aren't actively involved in the process. I will keep doing my bits by mentoring many more Women like Mary and others.
Good morning and do have a lovely Monday.
politics
There are people you meet and abruptly they have a positive impact on your life. Senator Al-Makura is one person who has been a blessing to me and my career.

You were a good man, a man that had the FCT natives at heart. You attended events that promoted unity and you did so much for us.
We wil miss you.
The FCT natives have lost a political heavy weight, the former Chairman, Kuje Area Council,Hon. Danladi Etsu Zhin , to the cold hands of death.
May his soul rest in peace🥲🙏.
My FCT women and I are ready to deliver the mandate.
I strongly believe in the candidacy of Tinubu and this is not just because I belong to the APC but because he is a man who has the IQ to lead. He has shown in the past that he has all it takes to lead. He is smart, dogged and he knows how to create and implement policies that would make the economy better.
I'd always say that politics even though it is a game if interest; it is more of a game of competency. You have to choose someone who has the capacity to deliver. Tinubu is that man- he has done it before and he will do it again.
"I raise up my voice—not so that I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard. … We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back."
-Malala Yousafzai
"Live for something, have a purpose, and that purpose keep in view"
Robert Whitaker.
I, very much, agree with Robert's quote. If you live for something, it automatically becomes your purpose and with purpose you cannot afford to live anyhow.
Often times, the people who are 'anywhere belly face' are those that are yet to have something to live for. It is easy to just get tossed by the whirlwind. No direction; no focus.
If you want to be remembered in this life, you have to be a man or woman of purpose. The people who have left legacies on earth aren't those who just lived with no focus- they had a purpose and pursued it to the latter and this is why even when they are gone they are still remembered.
Growing up, I wanted to be remembered for something good and this kept me in check.
Baba, may he continue to rest in peace, always mentioned that a good name is worth more than all the riches of this earth and whatever you do, do it to make impact. This ideology has been my guide. I have lived by it for years and will still do until my last days on earth.
To my young friends out there, the pressure of just living a life of cruise is quite much but don't bow to it. Live for something, discover your purpose. Read books and keep good company.
Find something to live for today and live a purpose driven life.
Good morning and have a beautiful day.

This Weekend....
I don't think I will forget this weekend in a hurry. I felt like a super star. I smiled, cried and laughed. I was honoured by the Ona of Abaji, my royal father and my friends and leader came out to support me in numbers.
My royal father honoured me by celebrating the new responsibility given to me by the Honourable Minister of FCT as his Senior Special Adviser( Special Duties).
This can only be the work of the Almighty.
I love and thank you all for your support and prayers.
More pictures will be coming within the week.
I'm forever grateful 🙏!
I want to say a big thank you to the FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, for finding given me this great and rare opportunity to serve the people of FCT and Nigeria.
By the special grace of the Almighty; I will ensure to give my 100 and 1% percent.
God bless you, sir and thank you all for your congratulatory messages, calls and prayers.
Enjoy an amazing Monday.
I woke up this morning listening to Pharrel's Happy Song. I want to start this month on a positive note; mentally and physically.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have officially entered the months. There is a belief of negativity around these months but I want to assure you this month will work for our good.
Let's be happy, spread love and enjoy a beautiful month.
Adamu Shaiubu Foundation celebrates .
I will share with you, why the UN decided that August 19th should be celebrated as World Humanitarian Day:
On this day in 2003, 22 relief workers died in Baghdad's Canal Hotel bomb explosion .UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq, Sergio Vieira de Mello, also died in the attack. Five years later, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution to recognise August 19 as World Humanitarian Day to commemorate those who died in the bombing.
