This has been a BIG week in my district with many residents being recognized for their outstanding contributions. One of four Westchester Youth Board "Sheros" awards was given to Port Chester resident Judy Troilo for her work as the CEO of The LOFT and former PC Trustee Alex Payan was honored by the Hudson Valley Youth Bureau Association for being a "Youth Bureau Champion" for his work with the PC Youth Bureau. Thank you both for all you do!

The mood was festive at the Posillipo Center yesterday despite having to celebrate Valentines' Day a day late due to Tuesday's snowstorm. A yummy lunch was followed by a collaborative word search and then "Name That Tune."

County Executive George Latimer Provides Westchester Airport Master Plan Update
My colleagues and I were proud to stand with Amy Paulin, Shelley Mayer, George Latimer and other local elected officials and clergy to emphasize that "Hate Has No Home Here." In an even more local connection, one of the targeted businesses, Scoop Shop, is owned by residents of my home town, Rye Brook.

Thank you, State Senator Shelley Mayer for your unwavering support of students and families in your district. We are very grateful to have your advocacy and collaboration on so many important issues.
Proud to secure $150,000 in state funding to help construct the BRIDGE Training Center for Cerebral Palsy of Westchester! CPW does tremendous work and this center will provide the necessary support and resources to CPW's high school and adult clients. I thank Linda Kuck, the Executive Director of CPW and her team for their commitment to ensuring teens and young adults with disabilities have opportunities and the resources they need to thrive. Thank you to Assemblyman Otis, Supervisor Zuckerman, Legislator Barr and Rye Brook Mayor Klein for joining us.
I am sorry to hear this. We need women like you in leadership positions. However I understand the difficulties of holding public office while raising a family. I look forward to seeing what is next for you and I hope you will remain involved in public service.
The recognizes today as Joseph Liberti Day in the County of Westchester in honor of Italian American Heritage Month. We Salute You!

I was pleased to rally outside the Federal Courthouse in White Plains yesterday, alongside community leaders, advocates and Westchester Disabled on the Move, to support access to transportation for people with disabilities.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support Westchester Disabled on the Move, Inc. - WDOMI in our lawsuit against Lyft. In this day and age, it is not acceptable for Lyft to block the ability to order wheelchair accessible vehicles.🚐🦽
Special thanks to Attorney Jeremiah Frei-Pearson of Finkelstein, Blankinship, Frei-Pearson & Garber, LLP and all our elected officials- NYS Assemblymember Chris Burdick, Nancy Barr, Westchester County Legislator and White Plains Common Council members Victoria Presser, Member, White Plains Common Council and Jenn Puja, White Plains Common Councilwoman- who came out in support.👏

It was a fun afternoon yesterday at the Jewish Heritage Festival at Kensico Dam Plaza. Both colleagues and community members came out to enjoy the music, vendors, food and sunshine! Next Sunday, August 27, the Muslim Heritage Festival, the last ethnic festival of the 2023 summer season, will be at Kensico!
We were delighted to welcome Nancy Barr, Westchester County Legislator, to camp today! Legislator Barr represents Port Chester, Rye Brook and Harrison. Our staff were eager to share information about our camps, and the community health and child care work we’re doing in those communities. Pictured: Kathy Lynam (Rye Y), Debbie Friedman (Legislator Barr’s aide), Sabrina Murphy (Rye Y), Legislator Barr, and Tatum Nussbaum (Rye Y).
Today the legislature voted unanimously to appoint the Hon. Symra Brandon to fill out the legislative term for District 16 (Yonkers). Ms. Brandon brings a wealth of experience as a City Councilwoman and a County Employee, making it easy for her to hit the ground running. We are grateful to her for her willingness to fill this role for the next few months.
A fun time with my rising 2nd grade reading buddy, his twin brother, and summer intern Ben Messafi at Yonkers Riverfront Library!
The Council of Community Services of Port Chester, Rye Brook, and Rye Town, are still accepting donations to our Mary O'Connell Campership Fund for the 2023 camp season. Without federal funding towards summer school programs in our area, many families have been left without affordable camp options this year. We are hoping to send as many children to camp as we can and that is only possible with support from the community. Please visit bit.ly/ccscampership to learn more about the fund and to sponsor a camper this season. Be sure to select "Campership" on the donation page so we know your contribution is going towards camp scholarships.
