I'll show you a KDP book niche where the books are easy to create, don't have a lot of competition and have many books on Amazon selling around 50 - 150/ month

What is these niche ?

It falls under the broad category of kids activity niche

And it's the CUT AND PASTE niche

It's mainly aimed at the kids in the kindergarten age group up to the age of 8,

These niche has a search result of 1000 results which is pretty good, which means the competition is not too high for these niche,

Also these niche has niche has books with best sellers ranking of less than 300,000 on the first page which is a game breaker,

Why Amazon is banning lots of Nigerian accounts on their platform

Today, I want to call out the Nigerian coaches who are teaching people the wrong thing about Amazon Kindle Publishing.

Because of their actions, Amazon has started banning many Nigerian accounts on their platform.

What are they teaching?

1. They will tell you that you don't have to be a writer to publish books on Amazon. You don't even need to know how to write a book.

2. They will show you how to get information from other people's books via Google search. Then, you change a few things and publish it as your book on Amazon in order to get paid in dollars.

They will teach you how to get PLR content, paraphrase it and then post on Amazon to make a quick buck, something Amazon is now very aware of.

3. To beat plagiarism test, what they do is to use Google translate and download books on hot niches from French, Spanish and other languages. Next, they will convert those books to English, put their name on it and republish them on Amazon.

4. Most of them get customers by posting fake Amazon KDP royalty reports.

5. They basically teach people how to steal other people's content and sell it on Amazon in order to get paid. The owners of those books do not get credit for their works.

6. They teach their students how to beat plagiarism checks.

7. The few books that are original content are not edited and do not have good cover designs. They are not properly formatted either. They simply upload them on Amazon without understanding how to publish books on Amazon.

They do this because they are looking for shortcuts to make quick money.

8. Most of them and their students publish books on Amazon Kindle Unlimited and disobey Amazon rules by publishing the same books on other platforms.

9. Most of these Amazon Kindle Publishing courses are published on popular platforms where they run ads and convince people to buy them in order to earn money in dollars. They are helping more people to learn the wrong thing while earning quick money by trying to beat the system.

The problem is that this has become a vicious cycle. These coaches were taught how to do this by other coaches and some of them don't know that what they are doing is wrong.

I'm a publisher. We also publish books on Amazon. What these coaches are doing is not just wrong, they are leading many young people astray.

Basically, they are teaching them how to make money off other people's sweat.

They also teach them how to how to get information via Google search without giving the owners of the original content credit.

Some of them have published over 100 books on Amazon, and yet, none of them is their original content.

Over 90 percent of courses on Amazon Kindle Publishing by Nigerian coaches teach people the wrong thing.

I call on these coaches to stop what they are doing. Yet again, this is giving Nigeria a bad name. This is why Amazon is banning lots of Nigerian accounts. Their actions are spoiling the efforts of hardworking Nigerian authors who are publishing their books on Amazon and other platforms while following the right process.

If you are teaching people courses online, learn what you are teaching very well and make sure you are teaching the right thing.

If you want to publish your book on Amazon, it must be your original content. If there is any information in the book that you got from other sources, you must give them credit in the reference page.

You can be sued to court for your actions. Be very careful and stop misusing other author's copyrighted content.

Write and publish your book while following the right process.

Amazon KDP is going to be the biggest thing In 2023 once it gets to Nigeria.

You have to brace yourself for that.

The first thing you have to do is to go into Amazon and look into the niche you want to evaluate,

Say for instance the colouring book niche

1) Are there sales being made in that particular niche?
The way you evaluate these is by looking at the best sellers rank of the organic book listings in that niche, look out for 3 or more books on the first page with best sellers ranking of less than 300,000, because if there are more than 3 books on the first page with best sellers ranking of less than 300,000 it means sales are being made in that particular niche and it's worthwhile going further.

2) Book sales: Are there KDP books being sold in these particular niche?
You will know these by using DS Amazon quickview to hover over the books in that niche from your search results, you'll get the details of that particular book, look out for where it says 'publisher' and if you see ' indipendent Publishing' then it is a KDP book,
If there are KDP books published in that niche then it's worthwhile going further

3)How easy will it be to create a book in that niche?
You'll determine these by looking at the cover designs, if you are not a design expert you can outsource and get freelancers to design those books for you,
But if you do not have the pocket for these then these might come up as a stumbling block for you .

4) Are there sponsored ads being run in these niche?
If there are sponsored ads run on the first page then it's a competitive niche, in order for you to get on the first page you have to run ads to get in the first page and compete with these books.

5) Search results: If the search results for a particular book niche is more than 3000 the it's a highly competitive niche, and personally I wouldn't go into it.

MISTAKES TO AVOID AS A KDP LOW CONTENT BOOK PUBLISHER.

1) Spelling mistakes: These can occur in the tittles, subtitles, cover
When your market is in the US the UK or Canada which are the 3 biggest markets, then things like spelling becomes a big factor and of you're spelling isn't right it puts people off because it doesn't give them a sense of quality.

2) Cover: When someone makes a search on amazon, the result they get is practically a list of book covers, these is the reason you should put a lot into creating your cover design.

Make covers that are in line with your niche, when it comes to colours, fonts, designs,

Use appropriate fonts , should be readable.

Use colours appropriate for your book.
E.g books for meditation gives an aura of calmness and if you think about an image of calmness what comes to your mind is a beach and that colour of the sea is blue. So blue is the color.
Learning colour phsycology too will help you greatly with these.

3) Niche: You should go for non competitive niches, don't sell what you like , sell what can be sold and you make profit.

4) Don't overprice yourself: Go to the first page of amazon, put in the keyword you are Targeting and then look at the books that come up, and looknat the prices of those books,add them all together, divide it by the number to get the average price.

Or you can just install Unicorn smasher and it will give you the average price of the books and that gives you a good baselines to Target.

4) Fonts: Use a font appropriate to the niche or genre of the book, e.g a gratitude journal can have something like a handwritten don't,, but if you that same font for a business related book, it puts people off because the book is not in line with what they are expecting.

Not only will it stud your sales for that book but it will question the quality of all other books you have in store .. maybe there are some adult content in that book, or what if there are vulgar words in the book. Parents are all out to protect thier children at all times .. creating and Publishing books is an art, and at such you have to think in 3D,

Little things like these should be put into consideration when creating and publishing books on Amazon or any other platform.
