Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
Inspiration word
It is tempting to hoard what we receive – especially when we feel we have earned it. However, we must recognize that all good things come from God. These enrichments are gifts from the Lord, and they are not meant to be hoarded. Instead, we should use the bounty we have been blessed with to bless others. When we give to charities or the church to help those in need, our generosity will cause others to thank God.
Your prayer my prayer
Dear God, we know that all good things come from You. You have blessed us with more than we need. Forgive us for the times we have been selfish and have not used what we have been given to help others. Give us generous hearts so that we may bless others so they will thank you, O Lord. Thank you for all You have given. May we use this bounty to bring others to You. In Jesus' name, amen.
Good morning and win today
If you are feeling far from God, thank him. Acknowledge his creation and all the many blessings in your life. Reflect on all he has done. Think about how all the ways he blessed those before you for generations and how he still knows your name. When you begin to have an attitude of constant thankfulness and prayer, you will feel yourself moving closer to God. Throughout the day, thank God in your prayers.
