Not long now until the 15th International Biodanza Festival with Niraj and friends, which this year will be a celebration tinged with sadness due to the recent passing of Pip Kennan of the London School. Pip was at the first Biodanza Festival here at Leela and many more subsequently and was a well-loved and respected figure by all who knew her. We will honour her memory in some meaningful way at this year's event.

Niraj can also reveal the theme for this year's Saturday night dress-up party as.....drum roll please....

🥳 Music Through the Decades! 🥳

Hey says "Was it the 1920's which saw the first merger of fashion and music with the 'flapper' phenomenon? Suits and dresses followed for some time, incorporating the era of singers/balladeers and the advent of Swing. The second half of the 20th century saw an explosion of genres and associated styles: the 50's and 60's gave us Teddy Boys n Girls, Rock n Roll, The Beatles et al, Flower Power/Woodstock, Mods n Rockers and Prog Rock, continuing into the 70's with more Rock, Heavy Metal, 70's Disco and Punk. The 80's welcomed New Wave/New Romantics, Ska, Goths and Grunge to the scene. There are undoubtedly many others... (Sorry, I've no idea what happened after the 90's! But if you do, go for it! 😅)

Bring an outfit if your choice or mix 'n' match in the celebrated Leela Theatre Cupboard and be ready to dance your socks off!"
