What are some things y'all think I should do? In terms of posts, like a weekly anime day, disability education day, movie day, TV show day, that sort of thing, how would that go over with y'all? It would definitely give me a sense of a schedule to keep XD

How do people take in more than one person speaking at once?! How is that possible???

Sensory processing disorder can be overwhelming sometimes. When I am trying to listen to someone speaking to me, and someone else is speaking, the sounds that come out of the persons mouth I'm trying to listen to sounds exactly like the adults on The Peanuts shows. Tell me about your sensory processing issues. Maybe our input could help someone else understand how they process the world.

Hey, everyone! This is the post with all the rules so please read carefully and hit a react to let me know you saw it! 😁
First off: As you can pretty much tell, I'm autistic. I have processing disorders, communication problems, and empathy overload and emotional shutoff (that swinging pendulum sure is chaotic LOL). I founded this page after years of searching for an autistic support group, and ended up joining one for a while, but after being bullied by other autistics for the very disorder they claimed to understand, I had to leave. But I need a support group, and I know I can't be the only one, so this page is for the autistics who are aliens even among autistics. Obviously everyone is welcome no matter what, but that is my reason for founding this page. I hope it's a haven for everyone who hasn't been accepted by their own. 😊
Second: I'm Christian, so this page will be held to that standard, and it'll obviously lean in that direction. Atheists and other faiths are welcome, but if I offend you, there's a quick fix: hit "unlike". You'll never have to worry about me again. 😝
Third: SPECIAL INTERESTS GALORE! I'm going to be obsessing over my special interests here and going into total nerd mode whenever I feel like it, so feel free to nerd out with me! In fact I will get down on my knees and beg you, PLEASE NERD OUT WITH ME! XD We need a place to go crazy about what we love! Go for it! History, anime, Disney, Star Wars, Transformers, obscure movies and books, writing, music, it'll all be here, go nuts!
And now for the boring stuff, the actual rules. Bleh, I know XD
ADMIN'S RULES:
1. Be courteous. If you disagree with someone, work it out without fighting.
2. Have fun, please. React, comment, reply to your heart's content as long as you're kind.
3. Absolutely NO nudity, sexual content, or sexual harassment!
4. No cussing, slurs, or derogatory comments.
5. Don't be intentionally offensive, but this isn't a politically correct page. If you don't like it, you know where the door is. Come back when you grow a skin.
6. If you go throwing around your disability in a bid to get special privileges (such as getting out of the punishment for sexual harassment), I will have no mercy for you. Don't go giving good people with disabilities a bad reputation. I will happily accommodate whoever I can, but disability is no excuse for inexcusable behavior.
7. Be understanding. A lack of understanding is what brought me to make this page. Autism comes in all shapes and types, it's not all the same. I have no doubt there will be other disabilities represented here as well; be flexible and understanding towards them. Absolutely no bullying.
8. DO. NOT. JOKE ABOUT SU***DE. Self-harm and su***de jokes, and any comments along the lines of "just go kill yourself" are prohibited. Way too many people, disabled and abled, struggle with that, and I'm one.
In most cases, I'll be employing the three strikes method. First offense will result in deletion and a warning from the page. Second will be deletion and a stern word with the page. Third, banning, which will automatically delete the comment(s). But if something is bad enough, there will be no warning, only instantaneous banning. I will be patrolling to make sure this page remains peaceful. Please, go easy on me and make this a fun page. Be yourself, don't be afraid. Be a nerd!
