Burkina Faso President Kabore โareestedโ by mutinous soldiers
Reports say Kaboreโs detention comes after troops staged mutinies at several army barracks, and gunfire was heard near presidentโs residence.
Mutinous soldiers they Arrested and detained the president of Burkina Faso after gunfire erupted at military bases across the West African nation, making him the third head of state overthrown in this region in the last eight months,
Authorities initially denied that President Roch Marc Christian Kaborรฉ had been forced into military custody, asserting the situation was calm even as soldiers battled for control of several barracks. Then the mutineers reached the presidential palace late Sunday.
Kaborรฉ was physically removed from office less than 24 hours after the uprising began, said the Western official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.
The apparent takeover followed hundreds of people marching the streets of the capital, Ouagadougou, demanding the resignation of Kaborรฉ, who has been in power since 2015.
The power grab in Burkina Faso comes after special forces toppled the president of neighboring Guinea in September and military officers ousted the interim leader of Mali last May.

"Daudi Chwa, Kabaka (King) of Buganda with his motor car."

HE Bobi Wine replies to Dr Stella Nyanzi's Christmas message she sent to him.
"Dear Bobi Wine,
As the year ends, and just before Christmas day, I want to restate my love and admiration for you. You are my little brother of the buffalo clan of the Baganda of Buganda. Tweddira mbogo. And this cultural fact will never change.
Among our people, we say, โBaluganda bitta bwebikonagana tebyatika!โ Earlier this year, I vehemently, persistently, variously and publicly criticised, mocked and ridiculed your leadership, your performace, and your style. I was hard hitting. I was harsh. I was ferocious. I was truthful. I was unrelenting.
My criticism of you, notwithstanding, I cannot undermine the charisma with which you encouraged youths, poor people, urbanites on the periphery of power, and several disillusioned social groups to actively participate in Ugandaโs elections. I admire and applaud you for renewing the hopes of multitudes of disenfranchised Ugandans that indeed liberation from dictator Museveni is possible. You reignited the liberation struggle. You woke up many sleeping individuals.
Your defiant challenge to Dictator Museveni inspires me, even when we belong to two distinct political parties. And in you, I see deep elements of defiance that I would love to see in my sons and daughter who are your nephews and niece in our clan. And it is this attribute you have as an exemplar of the revolutionary I love that makes me extend to you an olive branch.
Our people say, โEnsowera ekwagala yekugwa ku bbwa.โ And so, as Christmas Eve approaches, I write in love - emphasising that my criticism of your public personna, neither negates my admiration for your charisma nor diminishes my hope in your great potential to keep alive the fight for freedom in Uganda. I love you, Bobi Wine. And I wish to mend our broken relationship.
Merry Christmas and aluta continua!
Your clan sister - Kyana kya mbogo, Stella Nyanzi
HE Bobi Wine replies her.
"Dear Stella, Thank you very much for this Christmas message.
Like all Sengas, some times you're this very annoying big sister that is so hard to live with but impossible to live without.
You know I love you and even in the times you were pouring scorn on me, I always tried to reach out to you because I know what unites us is bigger that what devides us. I know you love me and even when you get mad at me, eyo love yebeera ekutawanya.
I am glad to have my sister back anti eMbogo ebeera emu.
Pliz send my warm Christmas greetings to our children.
NB. The next time we fight, it must not be on social media, it should be at our grandfather's home in Mugulu. ๐"

THE TRUTH ABOUT FRED LUMBUYE REVEALED
https://youtu.be/n0MYHZ9yKK4
MP Francis Zaake on Lumbuye Updates
When we arrived in the republic of Turkey we were hopeful that our joint efforts to reclaim the freedom of comrade Kajjubi Fred Lumbuye would yield. We had to first establish the entire gist of the matter and assess the situation on ground but of course this would not be achieved by us on our own but rather with the indulgence of our NUP coordinators within Istanbul. In our modus operandi as NUP, we are supposed to respect the existing structures within the countries to which we travel which is why we had to work behind the curtains and on the frontline but with the NUP Turkish team in the lead. Our comrades here briefed us and the secretariat on what steps we were to take. We hired an international human rights lawyer to mitigate the extradition efforts and rather push for the granting of asylum documents to our comrades so he could be taken to a safer haven in another European country or North America.
We tirelessly followed up and engaged the concerned Turkish authorities to establish what had inspired the eventual arrest of our comrade. We were since briefed that he was incarcerated on the command of the Dictator which imposed trumped charges meant to silence his resolve. We did not relent in our efforts to ensure his freedom. Our lawyer wrote to the Turkish attorney and laid a series of humanitarian and political grounds that would implore Turkey to heed to our prayer of either granting comrade Lumbuye a resident permit to stay within or consent to his asylum to another willing country which in this case was Netherlands where the paperwork of asylum had even been concluded.
"The point we need to explain is that for our client to be permitted to get asylum in the Netherlands since procedures have been started in that country," reads line 5 of our petition to the Turkish esteemed Directorate under the Attorney's office.
We had laid out a series of factors penned down by our Turkish lawyer who wrote our demands originally in their mother tongue. The letter was penned down in the Turkish language.
As a party we solidly and overtly stood against the extradition. We were against the Museveni regime's plans to take Lumbuye to Uganda for trial. We have all acted in accordance to our means. What we need to advocate for at the moment is that our comrade regains his freedom. Let each of us act within our capacities to see that the regime is overwhelmed. We must not relent because this is not the time to do so. Continue to press for his freedom till the regime spits him out of their hands.
