Hello, my Come Follow Me family! I was in a hurray as I published today's episode last night and somehow forgot to hit publish! WHOOPS!!! Today's episode is now up and running!
Jan 10- 1 Nephi 2:15-17
Today we talk about God's love for us, no matter who we are or where we live.
Jan 9-
Complaining and murmuring are a result of not understanding God's will. When He asks us something that is hard to understand, we can approach Him in prayer and allow Him to soften our hearts.
September 11- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
How grateful I am that I worship a God who specializes in mercy and teaches me to do the same.
Today I woke up thinking about September 11 22 years ago.
I didn't mention anything on today's podcast because we have listeners in over 160 countries. So I thought this might be a good place to share a thought.
America was created and intended to be a land of religious liberty. A land where people could worship according to the dictates of their own conscious. It was that religious liberty that allowed for the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ to happen.
9/11 was, in part, an attack on that liberty.
May we always remember and safeguard our freedoms, and return our thanks to God for the blessings of this country.
I had lot's of people asking about the clip I played by Elder Holland. I am glad you loved it as much as I did!

Acts 6:8-13
Stephen begins to do a great work, and comes against great resistance. The Jews try to tell Stephen what he is preaching and what he said and he is called upon to defend it. In our day and age often times people try to tell us what we believe, and we will be called upon in word and action to show that in all things we are true Christians.

John 18:38
Pilate asks the Savior the heartbreaking question, "What is truth?" But then, ironically, he doesn't stick around for the answer from the Truth Himself. He turns outward and seeks opinion from others. In our search for truth, let's remember to seek truth from the source of all truth.

Happy Fathers Day to so many wonderful men.
Father’s Day is an opportunity to tell dad how much you appreciate him. New dads, experienced dads, granddads, dads-in-law, stepdads, like-a-dads, girl dads, serious dads, goofball dads…There must be a million fatherly types out there, and without a doubt, there are at least that many reasons to honor them on Father’s Day.
“The sacred title of ‘father’ is shared with the Almighty. … Fatherhood is not a matter of station or wealth; it is a matter of desire, diligence and determination to see one’s family exalted in the celestial kingdom. If that prize is lost, nothing else really matters.”
Ezra Taft Benson
"I focus today on the good that men can do in the highest of masculine roles—husband and father."
-D. Todd Christofferson
“Father, like mother, is ever willing to sacrifice his own comfort for that of his children. Daily he toils to provide the necessities of life, never complaining, ever concerned for the well-being of his family.”
– Thomas S. Monson
“Father is the noblest title a man can be given.”
- Robert L. Backman
“We believe in fathers. We believe that far from being superfluous, fathers are unique and irreplaceable.”
– D. Todd Christofferson
We hope you have an wonderful day.
With Love,
- The Come Follow Me Daily Dose Team

Today we hit a huge milestone of 3 million downloads! That blows my mind! Seriously, I am baffled by that number. 3 years ago I was in church when I realized that I studied more consistently and I studied more in depth when I was studying to teach. Really, I just needed a way to hold myself more accountable for my gospel study.
On a whim I started this podcast thinking that maybe my parents would listen, but not expecting anyone else to. It still is amazing to me that you all listen to my study, and my thoughts.
After these 3 years I have heard a number of stories about how my random thoughts have made a difference for you, or for friends or for your kids and I am beyond humbled by that. I am grateful that the Spirit can make more of my words and my efforts and that in some small way, I can help strengthen the kingdom within my sphere.
That was all just a long weird way of telling you all THANK YOU! Thank you for keeping me accountable, thank you for joining me everyday, thank you for sharing your stories with me, thank you for being a part of this community. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ, I love my Savior. I hope you can all feel that in my words and testimony. And even though I have only met or even communicated with a few dozen of you, I hope you know that I love you, and I am grateful for the influence that your being here has on me!

Happy Mothers Day to so many wonderful women.
Motherhood is a divine, sacred calling. No service compares to the service that a mother gives to her children. The following quotes beautifully honor the nobility of motherhood.
“There are few things more powerful than the faithful prayers of a righteous mother.”
—Boyd K. Packer
“The work of a mother is hard, too often unheralded work. Please know that it is worth it then, now, and forever.”
—Jeffrey R. Holland
“The joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.”
—M. Russell Ballard
Don't forget to take some time today to remind all the lovely mothers, grandmothers, mothers-to-be, women who have been like mothers to you and anyone else you think needs to hear it today just how special and wonderful they are.
With Love,
— The Come Follow Me Daily Dose Team
