| NO WORK AND OFFICE TRANSACTIONS ON AUGUST 6, 2022

Tomorrow, August 6, 2022 is a Special Non-Working Holiday in celebration of the CEBU PROVINCE CHARTER DAY. Work and offices services/transactions will resume on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Pursuant to RA 8952, every August 6 of the year is a special non-working holiday in the Province of Cebu including the highly urbanized cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-lapu as well as its component cities.

| May 9-10, 2022 Election Non-Working Days

Per Memorandum No. 44 from the Office of the School Director/Principal, May 9 and 10 shall be declared as Election Non-working days for the faculty, staff, and maintenance personnel of USJ-R Balamban Campus. Thus, all classes and office transactions shall be suspended.

Pursuant to the Local and National Elections, May 9 is a special (non-working) holiday throughout the country (per Proclamation No. 1357). In line with this and in consideration to those who may still have to travel back to work after casting their votes in other provinces, the school has also declared May 10 as a non-working and no-class day.

Note: Classes and office transactions will resume on May 11, 2022 (Wednesday). Please be guided accordingly.

| TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONLINE CLASSES AND OFFICE TRANSACTIONS

Due to the scheduled Strategic Planning sessions for all the school personnel of USJ-R Balamban Campus, please be advised that the ONLINE SYNCHRONOUS CLASSES for the ELEMENTARY and HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT will be suspended from APRIL 4, 2022 (MONDAY) and APRIL 5, 2022 (TUESDAY).

In connection to this, there will also be NO OFFICE TRANSACTIONS (Registrar, Accounting, etc.) to be catered on the said date, however, ONSITE TRANSACTIONS will already resume in the afternoon of APRIL 5, 2022 (from 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

As much as we want you to be present in the venue to show your support, let us be reminded that we are still in the midst of the COVID crisis. In order to ensure our safety, we wish to limit the number of guests via a ticketing system. Tickets are NOT available for purchase. Style is not only an art form but culture! Show off your awesome graphic design talents by creating a one-of-a-kind T-shirt following the theme for this year’s event! The winning design will appear on T-shirts sold during the Cultural Talent Festivities and the proceeds will be donated to the Supreme Student Council.

The above-mentioned activity shall be participated in by Bonafide grade 7 to 12 students of the University of San Jose Recoletos, Balamban Campus

a. The design must be in accordance with the theme: “Tatak
Rekoleto: Forging Resiliency, Camaraderie, and Sportsmanship of
Learners Through Literary, Sports, and Reverence Amidst the
Pandemic”
b. Entries must have the “Tatak Rekoleto” in print and a Jaguar logo
c. Entries must use the University color (Green and Gold) as the
color of the shirt.
d. Feel free to design both the front and the back of the shirt
e. Digital entries only
f. Late submission of entries will NOT be allowed.

| HEALTH SAFETY AND PREVENTION WEEK (ACADEMIC HEALTH BREAK)

Attention, Josenians!

In accordance with the DepEd Regional Memorandum 0052, s. 2022, the Office of the School Director/Principal of USJ-R Balamban Campus mandates that in view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and the continued effects on the onslaught of the typhoon Odette, there will be SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND OFFICES on JANUARY 24-31, 2022. (This means that there are still no online synchronous and asynchronous classes in all grade levels as well as module distribution/retrieval.) The week-long break will be known as HEALTH SAFETY AND PREVENTION WEEK. This is not to be understood as a vacation but designed to help the government fight the spread of COVID-19.

THE RESUMPTION OF CLASSES AND OFFICE OPERATIONS SHALL BE ON FEBRUARY 2, 2022.

Josenians, make use of this time to rest and be physically and mentally healthy. We encourage you to have a digital detox and involve yourselves with well-being endeavors. We are praying for good health and complete recovery of those who are unwell, and strength for those facing challenges and difficulties in these trying times.

| LEARNING PACKETS/MODULE DISTRIBUTION AND RETRIEVAL

Dear Josenian Parents/Guardians and Learners!
Please be advised that our LEARNING PACKETS/MODULES DISTRIBUTION AND RETRIEVAL will be MOVED T0 JANUARY 22, 2022 (SATURDAY), instead of January 21, 2022.

Again, this is intended for all the learners in the ONLINE and MODULAR modality across the ELEMENTARY and HIGH SCHOOL (JHS & SHS). Please follow the usual time schedule per grade level as practiced on our regular Saturday distribution/retrieval operations.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
📌For students living and studying outside Cebu and who have not experienced problems caused by the typhoon, they will be receiving the soft copy of the modules which will be sent by their respective Homeroom Advisers.
📌Parents/guardians with multiple children in different grade levels may pick up/submit the modules on their preferred schedule.
📌Health and safety protocols will be strictly imposed in view of the rise of Omicron variant cases. Strictly follow the Minimum Safety and Health Protocols inside the campus.
📌BRING YOUR OWN BALLPEN to avoid cross-contamination. You need to use your own ballpen in signing the monitoring sheets.

| STATEMENT ON THE RESUMPTION OF CLASSES AND LEARNING MODALITY

We pray that you are all safe in these trying times and that you will have a hope-filled new year despite the challenges we are facing.

We are saddened that Cebu was badly affected by the super typhoon Odette. The USJ-R Balamban Campus Administration greatly appreciates your faith and resiliency to handle the unexpected devastation caused by the typhoon. We thank each one of you for your enduring patience and kindness shown. With the structural and technical damages we’ve experienced brought by the typhoon (which our school is not spared from), please know that we are in solidarity with you. Taking into consideration the gradual restoration of services disrupted by the typhoon, here are the latest advisory in relation to the resumption of classes in January 2022. Since our planned resumption of classes was affected, this supercedes previously issued advisory that is contrary to what is indicated in this new announcement.

USJ-R Balamban Campus remains to be an academic institution that ensures quality education while ensuring student safety with consideration for student capacity. As we understand that many of our students’ houses have not been reenergized with electricity and that the internet connection is not yet fully restored, CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS WILL RESUME UNDER A MODULAR LEARNING MODALITY. HENCE, ONLINE LEARNING MODALITY WILL TEMPORARILY BE SUSPENDED FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2022.

Please take note and share the following announcements and reminders:

1. Since the employees have started reporting to school since January 3, 2022, this week was meant for our teachers to get in touch with the students in whatever way possible to ensure their availability and academic preparedness.

2. CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS WILL RESUME STARTING JANUARY 11, 2022 and on the succeeding days intended for them following the new learning packets/module distribution and retrieval scheme or schedule. (Note: Please see the detailed guidelines below on item number 5 for the distribution scheme of the printed modules.)

3. All learners who are originally tagged as ONLINE STUDENTS WILL TEMPORARILY BE UNDER THE MODULAR MODALITY. This means that ALL ONLINE STUDENTS WILL BE LEARNING AND RECEIVING PRINTED MODULES OR LEARNING PACKETS for the month of JANUARY 2022. (Note: Once all systems are restored soon, original online students will resume to acquire their softcopy of modules.)

4. With the suspension of the online learning modality, SYNCHRONOUS ONLINE DISCUSSIONS VIA GOOGLE MEET AND ASYNCHRONOUS ONLINE ACTIVITIES THROUGH THE ARALINKS LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ARE ALSO SUSPENDED TEMPORARILY. (Note: We advise all the learners to exhaust all the available means of reaching out to your respective subject teachers should you have any queries that are specific to your different subjects since online class discussions are still suspended.)

5. Since the planned resumption of classes did not push through last January 3, 2022, the scheduled distribution and retrieval of learning packets/modules (as advised previously) on January 8, 2022, Saturday, WILL ALSO BE POSTPONED. Please be guided of the NEW SCHEME and date below:

In view of the adjustments of school activities and other academic operations, please be informed that the 'supposed to be' final Learning Packets/Modules distribution and retrieval operations on December 18, 2021, Saturday, will be SUSPENDED.

Our distribution and retrieval operations will RESUME (NEXT YEAR) on JANUARY 8, 2022.

Due to the forecasted upcoming typhoon "Odette", all activities planned for Friday (December 17) will be moved to DECEMBER 16, Thursday. The USJ-R Balamban Community will have the "GUGMA NI SAN JOSE" with a simple institutional Christmas Celebration. (Note: The school personnel/employees are advised not to report to school starting December 17, 2021. You are expected to report back to school on JANUARY 3, 2022 for the START of classes.)

In the afternoon, the Homeroom Advisers will meet with their advisory learners, both ONLINE and MODULAR, for their simple VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM/GATHERING.

Greetings of Peace to our dear Josenian Parents/Guardians!

As relayed to you by our respective Homeroom Advisers through your grade level Group Chat for parents, please be reminded of our scheduled REPORT CARD DISTRIBUTION for the Junior High School and Senior High School, tomorrow, December 4, 2021, Saturday. This is intended for all parents with students under the ONLINE and MODULAR modalities.

Since it falls on a regular Saturday schedule for module distribution/retrieval (for MODULAR students), we opted to follow the same time scheme for the Card Distribution. With this, kindly follow the designated time schedules per year level to minimize the volume of individuals who will enter the campus and to ensure the strict implementation of the minimum safety and health protocols.
Designated Time Schedule per Year Level:
•Grade 7 & 8 (9:00am – 10:30am)
•Grade 9 & 10 (10:30am – 12:00pm)
•Grade 11 & 12 (1:30pm – 3:00pm)

📌Report Card Distribution will be held at the GROUND FLOOR LOBBY of SAN EZEKIEL BLDG (High School Building).
