Hey all! Coach Scott Switzer would like to do a podcast on Saturday at 9am for the shred podcast to discuss the race. (I’m gonna be out of town. He didn’t want me anyway 🤣). Let me know if any of you would be interested in being interviewed. Or I can easily start nominating.
So far the race is still on! The race director went to check out the trail. It's all good until mile 6. After that it is under water. So they will be adding some out and back distance towards the end. There will be race officials on the course that can assist us with the distance. Hey! This is why we CrossFit! Prepare for the unknowable. We will still get our distance in.
Ok this Sunday is RACE DAY! You should have received an email from the race today with instructions.
1. Bring your own water or water bottle. They do not have cups on the course. Water and kool-aid will be available on the course.
2. Bring some GU or skittles. Some type of simple quick carbs. I typically plan to take one, half way through or around 50 minutes into a race. We want to give yourself some quick carbs before you crash (like I did on the last long fun)
3. Race bib pick up. on Race day beginning at 7:15-8:15. DON'T arrive at 8:10 to pick up your bib.
4. Lets plan on a group photo at 8:00
5. It's good to come early to get your parking. Get your bib. Pre race p**p, etc.
6. There is a Bob Evans close by on Hamilton Square Blvd. It would be fun to go eat together afterward if you are interested. Or open to other ideas of you all have a recommendation.

Wanted to throw out another option for you runners this weekend. This weekend is 6 miles before our race on January 19th. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70 degrees. Jim Tarantine will be running at 9am at SHRED. If you want to join him...be there. For those who want to run Sunday...let's hit up the Antrim trail again at 9am.

Ok. Due to predicted weather and predicted OSU game hangover I’m going to cancel the group run. Since it’s just 6 miles we can all just figure out how to get it in sometime. We’ll plan on 11 miles the following week.
Hi all! Just 4 weeks to go! Here’s what I’m thinking as far as our mileage.
12-29 : 6 miles
1-5: 11 miles
1-12: 6 miles
1-19: Race day!!!
This Sunday let’s meet back at the Hilliard Heritage Trail at the trial head across from the Makoy Center at 9am. I’m sure some people (Scott Rudawsky) will have to make up the run at another time due to the late OSU game.
Murph gets a rest day tomorrow!
Ok this Sunday is 10 miles. 9am. Let’s meet at Antrim again. It’s a good place we can meet and stash water for a water break. We will run south 3 miles and back to Antrim. We will stop for water. Then head north 2 miles and back to Antrim for Chocolate milk!

This Sunday we will fall back to run 6 miles. We are going to start at 8am this Sunday. Let's meet in downtown Hilliard. Park across the street of the Makoy Center at 5462 Center Street. Hilliard,OH 43026

We will run north on the trail 2.5 miles. Back to Antrim for water stop. Then south 2 miles and back to Antrim.
Let’s meet in the parking lot. When you pull into Antrim park drive the parking lot on the right and past the tennis courts. Drive all the way down to the bottom parking lot and we will meet there.

Yikes. Sorry to bust any excitement. But this Sunday will actually be 7 miles and not 5. I was off. 😬. My bad. Still Antrim. 9am.
Ok..this week is 7 miles on Sunday. Let's meet at Antrim this week at 9am again, and we will run south 3.5 miles and back.

Ok this Sunday let’s meet at Antrim park to run 6 ish miles on the Olentangy trial. Let’s meet in the parking lot. When you pull into Antrim park drive the parking lot on the right and past the tennis courts. Drive all the way down to the bottom parking lot and we will meet there. Well run north 3 miles on the trial to where the trail begins my Worthington Hills and back to Antrim.
