Hundred Acres Manor Haunted House 9/10/2022
Upon arrival the first thing we had to do was get parked. After parking, we then walked through the ticket line since we ordered VIP tickets online. We also wanted to add that Hundred Acres Manor gives away 100 free t shirts every night they are open to the first 100 people to go through the haunt. Thankfully our VIP tickets took us straight to the front & we were able to get free shirts🎃 The general admission line was VERY long & this was also opening weekend! In years past the general admission line has been over 3 hours long, VIP tickets are highly recommended!! Once the sun went down, the doors finally opened!! We also wanted to add that Hundred Acres Manor is HUGE & will take a very long time to walk through it. The props & animatronics are outstanding‼️🎃 We’ve never seen such HUGE monsters‼️😱 We will say that with this being such a huge haunt, we thought they could’ve used more actors in the empty spaces. This haunt was VERY creative and the smells and sounds were frightening, but we felt that they could’ve used more scares.
Props/ set 9/10
Scare factor 7/10

Scary Harry’s did not disappoint this year!! 🎃👻🖤 They came back bigger and better than ever! Scary Harry’s is a haunted trail in the middle of the woods here in Western Pennsylvania. It’s so close to home for us and we’ve been coming to this attraction for years!! They have come such a long way from the beginning and all of the hard work that they put in truly pays off!
This year we had a group of 7, and they split us up into 2 groups. 1 group of 3 and 1 group of 4. We wanted to go together, but we are SO glad they split us up because it made the experience that much better! Being in small groups assured that everyone in our group got the right amount of scares 👻 We had a “first-timer” with us last night, they didn’t know what to expect and didn’t really even like the idea of a haunted house but after going to this attraction, they were blown away and scared out of their wits! If you have a fear, they have it here!! 🧟♂️👻🎃🤡
For the price of $15 this attraction had SO many scenes, actors, props, and special effects. You can tell a lot of time and dedication goes into Scary Harry’s! Very impressive! We especially loved the graveyard, and the last building that you walk through! We don’t want to give too much away, you’ll just have to see for yourself!

Let’s start off by saying this was by far the BEST haunted attraction we have EVER been to! The history of this place is enough to make your skin crawl, so if you want to be extra spooked, read below!
“Pennhurst State School and Hospital, was originally known as the Eastern Pennsylvania State Institution for the Feeble-Minded and Epileptic, and it was an institution for mentally and physically disabled individuals of Southeastern Pennsylvania located in Spring City. After 79 years of controversy, it closed on December 9, 1987.” Here is a link to read up on this institution a little bit more! http://www.preservepennhurst.org › ...About Pennhurst State School and Hospital
We walked through security on the way in, which made us feel better knowing that we were safe. We then walked through the woods into the entrance of the grounds which was so cool and really set the mood for the whole night. You could truly feel the heaviness in the air as many patients of this state hospital perished here.
We purchased VIP tickets (online), which we highly recommended because the lines can get very long being that this attraction is very well known. They also have a ghost hunting tour that you can purchase separately.
The buildings were breathtaking, and were very well preserved. We felt eyes on us, even when we thought nobody else was around. The vibes were spooky af 😬👻 it felt very historical and thrilling at the same time!!
The Asylum was first up, and it felt you like were transported back to when this facility was operational. The actors were drop dead amazing and super engaging. The set was so realistic that you felt as if you were a patient at Pennhurst! Our hearts were racing and we were so scared to move on throughout this attraction but we truly couldn’t get enough. It was SO good! 😍
Next up was The Morgue, yes MORGUE! Eeek 😱😱😱
Again, this part of Pennhurst was immaculate and didn’t cease to put a chill down your spine. The actors never broke character and made sure everyone was scared! The props were amazing and so well done, it felt like a movie that we were apart of.
Last but definitely not least, we arrive at The Tunnels. This was the one we were most anxious for. When we tell you we were scared out of our minds, we aren’t exaggerating. These tunnels were actually used to transport residents of Pennhurst, so it felt very eerie to be inside of them. We kept having to switch out who was leading our 3 person group because we were that scared! The actors in the tunnel made sure to use the darkness to their advantage and we were absolutely terrified! Just when you think you were scared, something else happens to scare you even more! The tunnels were huge and it felt like we were never going to get out! 😈 also the animatronics and props were absolutely top tier!
Words can’t describe how amazing this place was and we would go back again for sure, especially to try out the Ghost Hunting! Everything about Pennhurst spooked us to the core and we 110% recommend this attraction to everyone!

Bates Motel was a great experience that we highly recommend!
The sets and designs were immaculate! Very visually appealing and kept you on your toes. It’s usually a haunted hayride, which has been featured several times on the Travel channel and has been rated as a number 1 attraction, but due to Covid-19 it was a trail! Renamed, Psycho Path, which is a very clever play on words! 🤣 The actors were engaging, and high energy so it made the attraction that much better! The props that they had were amazing, even when you go in to the first part, you’re walking into the mouth of a huge animal skull.
Up next was Revenge of the Scarecrow’s Haunted Trail which features a haunted corn maze that also has buildings and sets that you walk through. Again, the actors were very engaging and we were scared around every turn. You can really tell how much time and dedication Bates Motel puts into these attractions!
Finally… The Bates Motel!
When you walk in, you feel like you are transported to a different time. Everything seems so real and intense in the best ways possible! The animatronics were stellar and the actors were frightening to say the least. Our adrenaline was pumping and we had an absolute blast inside of this attraction. There wasn’t a dull moment which is something we definitely look for in a haunt because you don’t have time to think about what is coming next!!
Altogether, Bates Motel didn’t let a second go to waste while you were walking through. They used every opportunity to give you a scare, whether it was an actor or a prop and we would definitely checking it out! You won’t regret it 👻😈

Feedback: Upon arrival we had no wait to buy our tickets. We then entered the midway and we took pictures with the props which were really cool! We then went to the first attraction which was “The House.” There was no wait because we went later in the night but surely it gets backed up when it’s busy! As we first walked in, the actor gave us a backstory about the attraction which set the mood. The actors did a really good job, and the props were really cool. We just wish “The House” would have been longer, it just seemed kind of rushed but still pretty cool!
The next attraction was “Experiment 31 in Darkness.” The attraction was about a mad scientist but it sort of speaks for itself in the name! They did a really good job which was catching us off guard, but just like “The House,” we wish it would have been longer and more engaging!!
The final attraction was “Trails.” We were very nervous because we were literally walking right into the dark woods. Also, you had to walk down a steep hill to get to the trails. A lady in front of us fell so we recommend wearing good, nonslip shoes when you go! 😂 The sets were really cool, but they definitely lacked a bunch of actors, like we were just walking a ton and nothing was really going on. There was a lot of opportunity for scares that we believe were missed. The attendant sent us into the trails with another group so it felt like they got most of the scares. My guess would be because we got there closer to closing! Also the only way to get to the exit was up a hill through a corn maze which had maybe 2 people in there scaring you. By the time we got up the hill we were drenched in sweat, but hey atleast we got a workout! 🤪
All in all, Haunted Hills Estates was a pretty good haunt and we had fun, but definitely could use more scares and actors!

This was one of the BEST haunted attractions we have ever been to. You can tell how much time and dedication went into this and we had an unforgettable time!
Upon arrival if you didn’t buy tickets online, you can purchase them at the ticket booth. Then they mark your wristband with a number for your group. As you walk into the midway, you have so many things to do and so much to see while you wait for your group number to be called. Multiple actors are walking around scaring you and the entire time they all stayed in character which really impressed us. They also have a “Buried Alive” attraction, Axe Throwing, face painting, and many other things! The gift shop has so many different souvenirs, the food selection at the booths were great as well! 🥰😋
Once your group is called you go on a hayride through the dark and creepy forest where there is also an abundance of actors! It leads you to the Frightmare Mansion which is HUGE and soooo cool. Every turn was a new scare and it kept us on our toes! Just when you thought it was over, there was more and we were living for it! Or dying for it we should say 👻🎃
After the mansion there is the Hallow Grounds which felt like walking through a horror film! There were so many places to go through and we couldn’t get enough!
All in all, Fright Farm is a MUST SEE for any horror buff or newbie haunted attraction goer. We absolutely LOVED it here and so will you! 🤩👻🧟♀️ ENTER IF YOU DARE! 💀

Feedback: As you arrive they take you on a school bus over to the attraction. You then wait in line to buy your ticket. You are then given a wristband and they write your number for your group on it. Once you get in, you have no line to wait in which is a huge plus. The front lady rings a bell and announces the next group number over a speaker. While you wait for your number to be called, they have concession, various things to purchase or look at. They also have fire pits to sit around, and they have a huge area right outside the house where they play horror movies to set the mood! 👻
