Greetings coaches and team reps!
It's March and the snow is melting and spring is just around the corner! We made it successfully through the 2020 Covid season without any major concerns. We are looking to get back closer to our normal season this year as we have seen most sports resume by now. We want to thank you guys for doing your part to have a great time last year in the midst of all that was going on. It was truly great to have some outdoor recreation and fellowship. We will be outlining what to expect over the coming weeks and for the upcoming season. Communication in planning is so important even if it is just to let us know your plans for the upcoming season in or out. We are always happy to answer questions you may have as we prepare for the upcoming season.

League Fees:
The league fee for the 2021 Season will be $475 per team with a $50 deposit due with application by April 2nd.
Second Payment of $150 due by March 30th
Remaining balance or $275 due by May 28th

Attached you will find league rules and the 2021 team application form, you need to fill out one per team and send it in with the league deposit fee. Registration is first come, first served each night, so get your registration in asap! New this year you can also submit your application online! https://forms.gle/jbi4Tp2XBtW1jjxd8 and pay with Venmo.

When you sign up, please specify which league and night you want. We offer Tuesday Men, as well as Thursday Coed. (availability depends on the number of teams that sign up per night) Please specify if your team should be an Upper or Lower level team, not all nights will have two divisions but in the case that we do have two divisions we will use this information along with last years standings to place teams fairly.
*We will not move teams between divisions during the season.*
If we have enough interest we will consider adding Tuesday Coed.

League Meeting:
The league meeting will be on Tuesday, April 6th at 7pm, location TBD. We will be briefly going over league rules and roster forms, score books, rule books and softballs for the year. Please make sure someone from your team is in attendance.

Important dates to remember:
Tuesday, April 6: League Meeting at 7pm at TBD,
Friday, April 2: Registration form and $50 deposit due for each team as schedules will start being put together then.
Friday March 30: Additional $150 Payment Due
Tuesday May11: Regular Season Begins
Friday May 30: Remaining balances due along with Roster

Team Registration- Please fill out attached application or fill out the online application with coach info and if possible an assistant coach or backup contacts info.

General League Info:
Games start at 6:30, Double Headers at 6:00 or 7:15 pending on schedule.
Schedule consists of 12 regular season games plus playoffs based on standings (Some double headers scheduled)
Only allowed to use the USSSA supplied yellow softballs.
All our games will be held at Grace and Truth Sports Park or area churches.
First aid kits are recommended for each team to have just in case.
All catchers are required to wear a mask.
We recommend that pitchers wear protective gear. Protective gear for pitchers is not mandatory but with safety in mind it is our recommendation. If you have questions regarding this please feel free to ask.
The plan is to start the week of Tuesday May 11 and Thursday May 13 this year. (There will be no games July 1 & 6 (makeup potential))
Must be 13 by start of the season to play in all leagues.
Rosters are to be signed by church Pastor.

Four RBI Day for Patrick Leads Greece Assembly - Medeiros Past Greece Assembly - Vicente

It was a cool overcast day for the 2020 Men’s championship game at Grace & Truth Sports Park. Patrick was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Greece Assembly - Medeiros past Greece Assembly - Vicente 14-8 on Tuesday. Patrick drove in runs on a double in the first and a home run in the second.

Greece Assembly - Medeiros earned the victory with an even performance offensively and defensively. Greece Assembly - Vicente put together a solid game plan holding GAG - Medeiros to just 14 runs but were a little to little too late with their hitting.

GAG - Medeiros got things started in the first inning when Patrick doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Dave and Yogi also doubled to bring in 3runs in the First.

With some solid base hits GAG - Medeiros added 5 more runs in the second highlighted by a deep homer to right by Patrick landing in the parking lot, good bye! Shawn, Manny, and Patrick all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

After three scoreless innings GAG - Vicente plated a run when Andrew went from first to third, on Victor’s line drive to left, drawing a throw and making it home on an error.

In the bottom of the fifth GAG - Medeiros takes a commanding 12-1 lead when Ryan scores on a line drive by Shawn. Seems like this one is over at this point and it doesn’t seem close.

In the top of the sixth GAG - Vicente put up some fight. Rick got it started with a single followed by a single from Jeff. Singles by Steve, Neil, Malcom and Alex and a double by Victor plated 7 runs with timely base hits to bring them right back into the game. They were led by Steve, Neil, Victor, Malcom, and Alex, all knocking in runs in the inning.

GAG - Medeiros responded with two more runs of their own and shut down GAG - Vicente in the seventh to take home the ship. Eight championships in a row for this squad I’d say they’re a dynasty for sure.

Terry was credited with the victory for Greece Assembly - Medeiros Men's. He lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs while walking zero.

Rick took the loss for Greece Assembly - Vicente. He allowed 20 hits and 14 runs over six innings, walking zero.

GAG - Medeiros saw the ball well today, racking up 20 hits in the game. Ryan, Tom, Dave, Patrick, and Yogi all managed multiple hits for GAG- Medeiros. Tom and Ryan each collected four hits to lead GAG - Medeiros.

GAG - Vicente totaled 12 hits in the game. Victor, Jamie, and Steve all managed multiple hits.

Both teams closed out the season in prayer thanking God for safety and great fellowship as the 2020 season comes to a close.

Don't forget we start at 6 tonight for 2 games!
