A powerful title structure for your podcast episodes - Square - V1.mp4
A powerful title structure for your podcast episodes: Use a pull-quote from one of the speakers that summarizes the episode well. These are a few examples from Ramit Sethi's podcast where he talks to couples about their finances: "I'm going to die with student loans. What's the point?" "We took a loan to pay off credit cards—& maxed them out again." "I stress over money—but we're seeing Taylor Swift in France tomorrow." This is mainly effective when it's impactful enough to get the click while still making sure the bulk of the episode is aligned with that title.

Fascinating 2024 podcast data: - 47% of global listeners are from Sweden, making it the largest listener base - 83% of the U.S. population knows what a podcast is, up from just 22% in 2006 - The industry is projected to grow from $23 billion in 2023 to over $100 billion by 2029 - More than half of the top 30 podcasts now use video, compared to just 7/30 in 2021 These stats show how far podcasting has come over 20 years since 2004.

Seek out those who are just a step or two ahead of you on your journey. They’ll likely understand your challenges better than experts who may no longer relate to where you’re starting from. "As you get better and better at what you do, your ability to communicate your understanding or to help others learn that skill often gets worse and worse.' That was Einstein’s curse in the classroom. He knew too much, and his students knew too little." —Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things Also, if you're interested in skill acquisition, this book by Adam Grant is a gem. Highly recommend.

Iteration is when - Square - V1.mp4
If you improved by 1% every WEEK in a chosen skill, after 12 months, you could be about 68% better than when you started. Iteration is when your tiny improvements compound with every try. Keep building 🏗️

It doesn't hurt to work at both. Pick whichever one is more natural or enjoyable for you. Both help prevent others from misunderstanding you while also helping you understand yourself.

This was before we understood how algorithms do this naturally as our interests evolve.

This is ultimately great for anyone creating. Because someone can think about a topic, and before you know it, they're being served your content.

Providing someone with the means to learning new skills is often more valuable than a large sum of cash. Skills compound faster and retain their value longer. When you stack the right skills, you can generate a lifetime of income.

Forget reading an entire book. If you read 10 lines today, you’ve read more than 80% of people.

Podcasts don’t hit you with penalties for not being ‘trendy’ the way other platforms do.

Fear of other people’s opinions hold most of us back at some point with some thing. A worthwhile reminder: What you think of yourself = your business What others think of you = none of your business

Most podcasts under 50 episodes would benefit from monitoring inputs over outputs. - Did you record? - Did you book guests? - Did you edit? - Did you publish? It sounds basic, but if these steps never get done, there's no outputs to obsess over.
