Watching Aoife become a big sissy the past couple of weeks has been nothing short of amazing!

Looking back I don’t know why I’d have ever worried about her not being “the baby” anymore. She’s taken to siblinghood like a duck to water🥹

Fiadh is told how loved she is by Aoife everyday along with a million forehead kisses - it’s the cutest!

I’m sure these two will be the best of friends and I am excited to see it

I wanted to post a close up of my gorgeous girly and say thank you all so much for your congratulations on the birth of the newest addition🥹

She’s doing very well - loves her milk and so far not keeping Mum up TOO much at night… (like 3 times maybe👀) 😂

I can’t wait to share my birth story soon as it was kind of a weird whirlwind! But for now, I’m still taking in every single moment with her because I know how fast she’s going to grow and I’m so not ready🫣

I can’t wait to meet you…

We might be 7 days over due date, and I may be very tired and very achey - but at the end of the day I’ll miss being your little safe haven for the last 9 months🤍

Whenever it happens (hopefully very soon) I will be over the moon to hold you and have those lovely little newborn cuddles we all crave from the moment we’re pregnant🥹

Baby Blaney number 4 you are already so loved by all of us & we’re all very excited to see that little face and put a name to it too😅

Dressing up the bump🤍

As you might know, I went to an all day wedding the other week & not going to lie I was panicking a month or so before.

I thought - how am I ever going to look glam while 38 weeks pregnant😳 until I found Tiffany Rose Maternity]

They kindly sent me the perfect dress to kick of Autumn in style! You all know I love my neutrals… so this taupe dress was my stand out favourite🤩

It was stretchy, a comfy material and fit my pregnancy shape so perfectly! I added a little pearl headband and some pearl sandals (top tip by the way WEAR SANDALS✅) and I was good to go!

N E S T I N G 👶🏼

Did you really just read the word “nesting” when it comes to me and baby number 4?!😂

You’ll all be relieved to know I HAVE packed my hospital bag (will do a little story/reel set of everything soon)

I also bought the baby’s cot last week and it’s due to arrive on Wednesday🙌🏻

The baby has about 7 babygrows and 12 vests so far which I’m sticking with - because of the growth scans etc I’m too scared to get loads of “first size” and it might not last long🫣 I will send a messenger out to buy more once they’re here and I know an exact weight!

Packing all the little bits away like swaddle bags, nappy cream, muslins etc is making me so excited now!

38 weeks in a couple of days & manifesting we meet this baby sooner rather than later!

Any tips for bringing on spontaneous labour? So far I’ve been walking/curb walking & rotating on the ball - but I’m all ears for other tips and tricks👀👂🏻

New Breastfeeding Journey Pending…

I am still in shock at the fact I only have 3 weeks left until my due date! All the little details are kicking in now👀

From those first few weeks of sleepless nights, to those adorable chest cuddles - the biggest thing setting in for me is the thought of another breastfeeding journey🥹

I fed Aoife exclusively for 14 months!
But with 2 school runs, a toddler & a packed schedule I know I might not be able to do that as easily this time
around🤷🏼‍♀️

Hospital bag prep 👶🏼

Finally at *almost* 37 weeks I am getting round to starting a hospital bag! It’s been made a lot easier …
with the pre-packed bag from ✨A D

How gorgeous is it! The quote “Mummy let the adventure begin” on the front of the bag had me🥹

They really have thought of everything from washbag essentials, a Mummy gown and baby comforter to the sentimenal : first moments journal and even a card to write to them for when they turn 18🤍

Can’t fault this as part of my go-to hospital bits! I have more to add and I will be documenting that too, but for me… this is a perfect start✨

It doesn't happen often, but when it does... you best believe I sit on my a** and revel in every minute!

3 TOP TIPS

1️⃣ Open shelves!! Ditch those toy boxes, and try to make way for open shelves. I recommend the IKEA Kallax unit. You can buy various sizes and shapes so you can make this work perfectly for your intended space🤩

2️⃣ 12 Toys MAX. I found anymore toys than this on display is too overwhelming & that way - the kids focus on and master their toys before you move onto the next batch. The rest can be stored away in some tubs with lids✨

3️⃣ ACCESSIBLE. Have all their toys that they can easily access them. An invitation to play bench can work well for this if you can't have Kallax units. The TROFAST ikea unit is perfect as it acts as a play bench/toy display while also having storage tubs underneath as a space saver✌🏻

Controversial statement to make - I know👀

But seriously, have you ever switched on Cocomelon and your little one acts like they don't even know you? Or not know you're trying to gain their attention?! (Me too...🤦🏼‍♀️)

Darragh as many of you will know has a speech delay. He is around a year (or more) behind with his communication skills - talking, as well as his understanding of language. Aoife is 13 months younger and has overtaken him with all of the above!

I wanted to put things in place at home that I know would help him as much as possible (as we still have not started fully with S+L sessions)

I use visual cues, say his name first before a sentence to gain his attention. I take as many opportunities as I can to let him make choices (cheerios or weetos, for example) and I also try implement turn taking games - so he learns to focus more on the task at hand rather than all the distractions💡

But the one MAIN THING I have done that has brought him on - is DROPPED COCOMELON TIME!!! Cocomelon has always been his favourite show - but it was doing more harm than good for his speech. He was so hyperstimulated from the programme, that he didn't know we were talking to him and hardly flinched his head from the screen.🤔 I knew we had to cut it way down for him to excel in his speech and it's worked!!

As soon as we dropped cocomelon, we turn a show "Miss Rachel" on for screentime instead & he has already took on board a host of new words he's never said before like elbow, thank you, ABC's and more!🌈

I am not saying I have totally dropped it. If they have done lots of playing and activities, (and I want to make the dinner😂) then I switch it on for 20 minutes it won't do harm!! But ultimately, cutting down cocomelon was one of the best decisions we've made for our family!

Today was a chilled one! Well I say chilled…I spent the day tidying the playroom what felt like a million times (no surprise there😂)

Trust me, we might show you all the pretty perfect aspects of toy rotation - but unless you are willing to tidy up loads, it ain't for you🤦🏼‍♀️

For me - the pros outweigh the cons! I used to do a lot of free play in our playroom, but I always found it lead to chaos!

The kids had no clue where to turn to next which lead to throwing toys around for fun🙃

Now with rotation play, I select a minimum of 8/maximum of 12 toys on display - it keeps the kids more focused and helps them master the toys they have!

(I rotate every 1-2 weeks - depending on how well they master their toys)

Wooden Toys & Fine Motor Skills

One thing I love about wooden toys, is that the kids need to use a bit more imagination with them. They have to put in more work!

This is great though, because they are always finding out new things or working on their skillsets.

This is a toy bargain I found on *cheap and cheerful as always* 🌈 but it's honestly really good!!

Don't get me wrong, I was confused at first how bees and fish make any sense together - but if I am missing something please enlighten me🤦🏼‍♀️😂

The kids use a magnetic fishing rod to remove the fish from the wooden board - SO GOOD for hand-eye coordination and they use the tweezers to pick out the bees - perfect for fine motor!✨

Mastering Colour Sorting 🌈

One of the top 5 toys the kids got for Christmas (at the moment🤣) is this cup & ball sorting set!

You can tell from the picture we aren't quite there yet with the colour sorting - but that's a GOOD thing! Means we have some things to work on and master!

Right now, Aoife is focusing on using her fine motor skills, to get the ball onto the spoon and into a cup (doesn't matter what colour!) Darragh on the other hand is actually mastering colour matches pretty well! Tiernan even loves it too and hes 5!🤩

A real good toy all round... Sometimes toys don't have to be over the top, something really simple can be enjoyed way more!🤍

Working with the public goes a little like this...😂

I have re-arranged the kids playroom furniture to make space for their new tent. I took the bench and set it alongside the market stall. It works really well now! It creates the illusion of a home corner which I love🤍

However, after a little while Aoife got fed up with life in the retail sector & you can tell she was ready for her shift to be over😬

Does anyone elses house look like a toy shop threw up in it?!😂 I have tidied countless times - but once I turn away for 5 minutes they all reappear!

I can't blame them though, they are in love with their new toyroom additions (as am I) hence why future content will be toy themed for a while😂

My top favourite has to be their new house tent from it's from and I can't believe how roomy it is! Perfect for my 3 to create memories in🤩

Its beginning to cost a lot like Christmas😬

That's it. I officially hang up my hat from Christmas purchases! I will be happy if I don't see another brown box at my front door for another while😅

3 more sleeps and the kids cannot wait! (Same as me!) I love seeing their faces when they realise what new toy additions they have!! (Even if it means I am tidying for the forseeable🤦🏼‍♀️)

Ikea Kallax HACK 🌈

For a while now I have only pictured 4 of my 12 cubes - did you even know I had 12?!😂

Because the kallax was open at the back, you were able to see the leads (cables) of the TV. I started to hate seeing it - so I never took any pictures of it.

BUT here comes the hack part. We actually went to and bought some white furniture backing, and screwed it against the back of the unit. Now it hides EVERYTHING🤩 (we even used strips to stick the TV box to the wall!)

I will now be picturing this area so much more on my feed and it will no longer go to waste!!🤍

I cannot believe we are 7 DAYS away from the big day - and I have to say, I have been pretty confident until now😳

I thought I had everything I needed - but turns out I do not... I also still have a huge amount of decluttering still to do in the playroom before it gains even more house (toy) guests😬

The kids have decided this is the week they want to test how much they can fight over objects before Mum notices🙃

But we STAY POSITIVE. Let's enjoy the upcoming Christmas week, because before you know it - it's been and gone for another year✨

I started a new journey at the beginning of December. It is in the form of "The Secret" a book written by Rhonda Byrne. All about how ANYONE can manifest what they want in their life so long as they give thanks and have gratitude for everything!! (Whether it's happened yet or not)🤍

We have always loved everything about the Law of Attraction & how the universe wants to give us all we desire. (we just have to know how to tap into it!)

I have so many goals and things to smash in 2022 - and with the help of this book, I know I WILL🙏🏻 In fact, I am on day 16 and am already seeing huge changes to my life and the way I perceive things!
