Today the little ones of Pre Primary celebrated the 75th Republic Day of our beloved Motherland ๐ฎ๐ณ ๐ฎ๐ณ Republic Day fervour at DC Junior school continued with celebrations in the assembly and in the classrooms. Children of
Classes 5 and 6 danced on their evergreen patriotic numbers. Children sang lovely patriotic songs and performed the orchestra in sync to celebrate their joy.Wishing a very happy 75th Republic Day to one and all!๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ณ

As we gather with our tiny tots, each filled with wide-eyed wonder, we embark on a delightful journey to instill the spirit of patriotism and unity.Decked in vibrant tricolors, our youngest stars shine brightly as they partake in adorable performances that echo the essence of our great nation. Makar Sankranti, also referred to as Uttarayana, Makar, or simply Sankranti, is a Hindu observance and a festival. Usually falling on the date of January 14 annually, this occasion marks the transition of the sun from the zodiac of Sagittarius to Capricorn. Makara Sankranti is regarded as important for spiritual practices and accordingly, people take a holy dip in rivers, especially Ganga, Yamuna, Narmada, Godavari and Krishna.Children from classes Pre Primary to class 6 celebrated Sankranthi in a big way !! The children of pre-primary were introduced to the curriculum. It was a very engaging session as children were introduced to the new characters in a play way method. Children sang along with gaiety as the session went on.
Makar Sankranti symbolises new beginnings and is celebrated as a harvest festival throughout India. In various parts of India, it is known with different names and celebrated as Lohri, Bihu , Pongal and Kichari on the 14th and 15th of January. On this day farmers across our country pay tributes to the Sun God and wish for good crops.
Today the children of pre-primary celebrated the festival of Makar Sankranti and Lohri with lots of joy and got an essence of the festival.Go DC ๐๐
What an endearing morning as Principal Maโam visited the Jr.School with a little adorable pup - Elmo, a Matisse , an Italian breed of dog !! The little ones excitement knew no bounds , they were euphoric and ecstatic !! What an endearing morning and a great start to year 2024 !!
On the occasion of 'World Hindi Day' 10 th January 2024, Daly College Junior School organised Inter House Elocution competition. Participants from Class 5 and 6 were enthusiatic and represented their respective houses. Children successfully evoked the emotions behind the character. Emotions like comedy, patriotism, courage, empathy were displayed beautifully through their acts.
The teachers and the students indeed witnessed some power-packed performances by our budding artists.
The Judges for the event were Mr SK Kanchan and Mrs Pooja Pahwa. They praised the performances of all the participants.
Advay Rathore from Rajendra House secured the 1st position, the second position was bagged by Param Turakhiya from Jawahar House and Adesh Singh Ubeja from Vikram House.well done Hindi deptt ๐๐

What an awesome evening as Jr. school celebrated its Annual Prize Giving of classes 4,5 and 6. The woven tapestry of the childrenโs achievements was spectacular!! The Chief Guest for the evening was Rana Manvendra Singh of Barwani!! He was simply mesmerised by the childrenโs performances!! The musical Anne of the Green Gables had the musical score by the famous and highly talented Paul Brothers and the crisp direction was by Aaron Targain !! The choreography of the various dances was by Rohan. The parents were enchanted by the musical performance and the children simply had everyone spellbound . It was an exhilarating moment. Usually people celebrate Christmas is by exchanging gifts, decorating their homes, celebrating with parades or parties, dedicating prayer, and sharing food and drink.Our dearest loving Pre Primary students had an incredible experience celebrating Christmas ๐๐

Today, the festive spirit echoed through classes 1-3 as they celebrated Christmas. Class 1B's children showcased delightful carols, dance performances, and shared insights into the essence of Christmas. The entire group participated joyfully, dancing, singing carols, decorating trees, and even crafting chocolate-dipped strawberries to enhance the festive theme. ๐๐ถโจ
Hands-on activities are an essential part of the learning process in the classroom. They provide opportunity for children to engage with material and apply what they have learned in a practical setting. Keeping the same in mind these activities are incorporated into the lessons to increase the engagement of the children.

The 6th Junior School Exhibitions was a stupendous success !! The chief guest for the exhibitions was Thakur Saheb Narendra Singh ji Bidwal. He was accompanied by his wife . Children had put in a lot of effort and all their hard work paid great dividends as parents were really happy and spell bound and their appreciation was so humbling !!

The most awaited movie outing was finally accomplished this Saturday, when the children of grade 3 were taken for the movie-Wishโ. The excitement of the children was unnerving. They enjoyed every moment and we enjoyed watching them.
The theme of the movie was a life learning lesson- one needs to work hard towards achieving their wish, instead of depending on others to do so โฆ.. Go DC ๐

Sports is an integral part of a childโs foundation for life. DC Pre-primary Annual Sports Day was celebrated today with a lot of mirth and excitement. The junior school ground was a pool of laughter and celebrations.
Our chief guest Dr. Gunmeet Bindra was welcomed by our very own budding equestrian trainee and that was surely a sight to see!
The day began with the walk past by the tiny tots of pre- primary, followed by gymnastics, sports drills and cycling display by the children. Next up were the races, where the children put their best foot forward in a range of events such as hurdle race, relay race and animal walks among others. Every participant was a winner and celebrated their success with equal enthusiasm.These early experiences lay the foundation for a positive attitude towards sports and healthy living. Their head gears for different races were all based on famous stories of children !! The teachers have worked so so hard !! Well done !!GO DC!
A debate is an organized argument or contest of ideas in which the participants discuss a topic from two opposing sides. Today the JR. Schรถol witnessed an amazing debating session !! First was Aanya Choudhary, 2nd was Aarna Besani , 3rd was Yuvan Bhatia and 4th was Shreysth Jain !! The judges for the event were Mrs Renu Parmar and Mrs Durga Singh !! Today, we witnessed a triumph of good over evil as we celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights. Our little stars from class 1-3 shone bright in their traditional attire, spreading smiles all around. They sang, danced, and created beautiful floral rangolis, filling the air with joy and happiness. ๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ถ๐ ๐ช๐ช๐ช
Diwali, the โfestival of lightsโ was celebrated by the students of the Pre-primary with a lot of fun and frolic. The day was marked by a special assembly by class PKG 1 highlighting the message of โGreen Diwali, Clean Diwaliโ. Children dressed in traditional attire decorated vibrant rangolis with flower petals, and spent the day full of joy and happiness.
Diwali is round the corner; the fervour is in the air. Today the children of grade 3 and 2 looked adorable when they marched in their beautiful traditional attires.
The festive feel got accomplished when the little ones adorned the Malwa Campus of our Junior school with spectacular RANGOLIS- which was an amalgamation of Madhubani and Aboriginal art , done with ear-buds on the floor.
The children of all the sections squeezed in with each other and it was a live example, where they intermingled, like the colours of RANGOLI. We are sure , this will be a memorable โTAKE AWAYโfor these little ones-
a) Mix and mingle with everyone like these colours.
b) The outcome and the fun is unforgettable when done in a TEAM.

We had various activities like Story telling which plays an important role in building the cultural and social understanding of a child. Today a special story telling session was conducted by Ms. Surbhi Malik followed by an interesting art and craft activity. ๐๐
Kids love for ice creams cannot be ignored whether it is summer or winter. They learnt to make yummy homemade ice cream by adding their favourite fruits, custard, and cream. ๐ฆ๐ฆ
A dance presentation by the teachers was the icing on the cake for the tiny tots....๐๐๐๐
