I was in the ballet studio and I remember preparing for a Dance exam. I used to get really nervous because I felt that I didn’t have the “natural” talent, or turnout, that many of the dancers around me had... or I perceived they had.

For most people this could dissuade them from pursuing something greater than them.
_
_
For me it meant that I had to figure out what my talents were, and what I had to work on.
_
_
I spoke to one of the dance teachers there, worried about my exam. I wanted to do REALLY well. But for some reason I always felt limited.
_
_
My ballet teacher gave me some encouraging words. It wasn’t about the grade I achieved, but the progress I made in the year, and from year to year. Soon after I was hired as a ballet teacher at the dance school. I couldn’t believe it! My hard work has paid off.
_
_
Those lessons have followed me to this day. It’s not just about natural talent or ability, but it is how hard you were willing to work to achieve your dream.
_
