Facebook reminded me that I released this song 3 years ago during the height of the pandemic where a lot of us had no choice but to stay, and ironically suffer, in our homes. A song about mental health full of imageries and references to show a case of reality escape and the longing for social connection, structured to follow the 5 Stages of Grief.

and , both trying to portray a specific concept from different perspectives. Subjects that I would consider sensitive to me, they touch my mental and emotional experience in very unique ways, such that they make me feel very human, they remind me of the beauty and fragility of life, which is what DogsAndDinos is all about.

FANTASY By DogsAndDinos (Featuring my ates)
It was at the height of the pandemic, I wrote this song and asked for my sisters' comments and input given that they're fantasy geeks. I recorded the song with my very simple room setup and a beginner yet experimental skill. I asked them to sing along with whatever they can and however they want. Since we live oceans apart and they also didn't have proper recording equipment like me, they just used their earphone mics 😂 and sent the files via email. Somehow, I am still pleased by the outcome of the song and really proud that I was able to include my lovely sisters in it. So it seems to me that this live recording is a reflection of the actual song concept on how they're actually involved.
