Reminder to all track athletes, we have open track this week July 11th and 13th from 10-12!

❗️Attention Track Athletes❗️

Here are the summer open track times/dates. This is for athletes in grades 7-12. Hurdles, Hj, LJ, pole vault, and throwing rings will be open!

June 26, June 27, July 11, July 13, July 18, July 20, July 27 & July 28. All dates are from 10am-noon.

Congratulations to senior Kinleigh Smith! She will be continuing her track and academic career at Grace College! One of the toughest, hard-working kids I’ve coached! Congrats Kin💕

Wrapped up our 2023 track season tonight! So thankful to have coached this group of kids and work with the best assistants! I look forward to next season already and I celebrate the amazing group of seniors that are going to be so successful in all they do! RBT 🚂

REMINDER: Spring Awards Banquet is on Wednesday, March 31st at 7:00p.m. in the PAC. Track awards will follow in the PAC.

Our first elementary track clinic was a success! Thank you to our coaches and athletes for taking time to work with these young kids. It was great to see them excited about track!!

Reminder: Elementary track clinic will be from 1:30-3:00 today! This is our last clinic day and tshirts will be handed out!

Congratulations to our boys that are advancing to regionals next Thursday at Carroll. Graydon Clingan (disc), Nate Wells (high jump), Holden Bowser (200), Arturo Zecchina (400), Nate Presswood, Aiden Boltz, Holden Bowser, Arturo Zecchina (4x400). Proud of all the boys for the way they competed in a tough sectional! We placed in every event but 3🚂🚂

Congratulations to Lexi Gordon and the girls 4x100 (Joseph, Harter, Gordon, Jacobs) team on their regional qualification! Regionals will be next Tuesday at Carroll HS.

Girls sectional will be tomorrow 5/16 @ Angola. Boys sectional will be on Thursday 5/18 also @ Angola. Field events start at 5, 4x800 at 5:30, trials at 6 & finals at 7. Good luck to our athletes🚂

❗️Attention all athletes and parents/guardians❗️ The spring awards banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 7:00 in the PAC. Track will have their awards right after in the PAC.

Another record broken by the boys middle school track team! 1600 relay broke the school record at their conference meet on Saturday! congrats boys! 🚂

Due to the boys NECC Conference Meet being postponed until 10am Saturday, we are going to cancel the elementary track clinic for 5/13 and reschedule for 5/20 from 1:30-3:30.

Ended our regular season at Eastside with a dominating performance by the boys team-winning every event but 2! The girls lost a close one. There were so many PR’s which is what you want to see going in to conference. Last but not least Garrett dominated the fat man 4x1 relay and watermelon eating contest 💪🏼 🚂 Fun ending to the night! On to conference next week!

❗️ATTENTION❗️Our meet that was scheduled at Eastside on Tuesday 5/2 will now be on Thursday 5/4! This will still be held at Eastside with a start time of 4:45.

The boys and girls competed in the New Haven relays last night. Even though the weather conditions were miserable, the kids competed and had PR’s. Top 4 finishers were:

Congratulations to 8th grader Carter Coffman on breaking the mile AND 800 record tonight! The new record mile time 4:50.86 and 800 is 2:11! We are excited for things to come for this talented 8th grade class! Congrats Carter🚂

Congratulations to 8th grader Adelle Romanetz on her record-breaking run last night at Busco! She ran the 800 in 2:33 setting a new middle school record! Congratulations and good luck against Hamilton tonight GMS teams🚂

Tonight we celebrated this awesome group of seniors! They are leaders on and off the track and represent Garrett High School with class. Proud of you all🚂

Congratulations to our middle school track teams! Girls finished second to Norwell and the boys are the 2023 Joe Mahnesmith Track Invite Champions beating Norwell 68-65🚂 Great job by both teams!

GHS Track & Field pictures were delivered to the block house during the track meet against Angola. If you ordered pictures you should see them coming home today or tomorrow. Yard signs are not in yet but will be sooner than later.
