Call for submissions deadline EXTENDED to 15th August, 2020.

We are extending the call for submissions to The Malabar Literary Magazine to 15th August, 2020.

The Malabar Literary Magazine is a quarterly online magazine based in Malappuram, Kerala, India.
While we are interested in prose and poetry from around the world, our particular focus is on non-metro based new and emerging writers from Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, Muslim, LGBTQIA+, Kashmir, “North-East” and various other margins of South Asia. We are also open to translations from any vernacular language to English with the consent of the original writer.
Prose: Stories should be between 1000 and 3000 words but in special cases, editorial discretion may be applied. Please submit only one story.
Poetry: Please submit 3-5 poems.
General Guidelines
All submissions should be unpublished, including on various social media platforms.
Your submission should have a cover letter which includes the following contact information: name, postal address, email address and telephone number with a brief biographical sketch of no more than 150 words.
Submissions should only be in word format( .doc, .docx, .odt) and to be emailed to [email protected] with subject line : “ Submission: Fiction/Poetry” (choose whichever is applicable).
