I have decided that the bags don’t need to wait for a once a year dedicated market. We have been at the last two The Seaside Market alongside Wildteal Charms with one or two new bags each market and it’s been great being able to share my love of NZ wool. Sooooo - we will be at the following Seaside Markets:

Sunday Jan 21st
Sunday February 4th (Waitangi Weekend)
Sunday March 31st (Easter)
Friday June 28th (Matariki)

Our very first Fête! Very excited!

Our annual Under the Mountain Arts & Crafts Fete is back, and it's BIGGER and BETTER than ever!

Come and choose from a gorgeous selection of artisan and hand-crafted goods, perfect for Christmas (nope, it's not too soon!).
Stay for the day and try your hand at winning $100, baskets of groceries or a selection of gardening gear (to name a few of the raffles up for grabs).
There's loads on offer with lunch and entertainment on hand too.
And, of course, our legendary bake stall including the BEST expertly handmade Christmas cakes.
Plus, our charity stall this year is Riding for the Disabled and they're bringing ponies!!!
Gold coin donation on entry.

It'll be a cracking day so be sure to pop it in your calendar, you won't want to wait a whole 365 days till the next one.

And top it off with dinner from our delicious food trucks and stalls.

A sneak peak into the process. Here is a freshly knitted bag ready for felting (silver grey). The Goldenrod colour bag is felted and dried. There’s a significant size difference! Notice how all the knitted texture disappears when felted? The texture takes longer to knit but it helps with the final fabric stability.

06/09/2021

Felting makes a lovely thick fabric for these hand knitted bags.

Cross body bag. A dark, slightly brickish red. This one was a challenge to knit but well worth it after felting.

16/07/2021

Cloche style hat. Knitted with pure NZ wool then felted.

11/07/2021

NZ high country wool knitted then felted.
