Mary Hone Fine Art
Taking photos is just the beginning of my creative process.
The eyes are the window to the soul, is never more true, than with horses.
This time of year you just can't beat the backdrop.
He is "All that, and a bag of chips." He knows it too.
Bolt.
This guy has grown up from an adorable little foal, to an amazingly handsome stallion.
I've been playing with some new stuff in photoshop too, and I really like how this turned out. My thought is to do a frame with gold leaf to match this too.
What do you think?

Who agrees?
It's pretty obvious wild horses are my favorite photographic subject. Not only for their beauty, and majesty, but also for their personality. Always something going on.
Hopefully you guys don't mind more non art stuff. ☺
These two cracked me up. Roxy was about 1/4 the size of Torrey, but she was fearless. Torrey was always so gentle with her, never once did she actually bite her. They'd wrestle like this for a minute or two, then that was that. This video is from 2017.
Blast from the past.
Some of you have been here from the very beginning, when I was writing the dog blog. This video is from Jan 2011 when Torrey was 8 weeks, and Roxy was 6. This is when I actually started the blog too. These two were quite the pair!
Power, and grace in one fantastic package.
Friends Forever
This another image I had printed as a 24x36 metal print so I can do a one of a kind art piece. Wow, it's amazing for sure, and it will be fun to create with it.
Matilda.
I just got this one as a 24x36 metal print, and holy cow! I unwrapped it, and it took my breath away. I can't wait to create a one of a kind art piece with this image.
Great egrets are one of my favorite birds to watch. They stand stock still, waiting for fish, then move so fast you can hardly see them go.
This one was quite the prolific fisher, and caught several in the time I watched. I'm not a fish expert, so I have zero idea what he was catching, but he got a good lunch for sure.
Zazzle is having a 40% off sale on tote bags today. There are so many fun styles to choose from in the Mary Hone Fine Art Zazzle page. Don't miss this sale. Link in comments.

Quick share of a great egret I watched fish yesterday. He caught several fish, then fluffed and shook, and took off. I'll share some of the fishing scenes later. I do like this fluffy look!
I had to take the camera for a spin today. This pair was pretty far off, but they started calling and dancing, so that was awesome.
Another image that will be a small 6x8 panel. I love the moose, and of course baby moose are the best. This quote seemed to fit just perfectly with this image. ☺
I'm working on images for 6x8 and 6x12 panels for the upcoming summer shows. I about sold out over the winter, and I want some Wyoming, Montana wildlife images for the summer. I had to find the perfect quote for this perplexed looking bear, what do you think?
Beautiful landscape. Check. Catching a raven flying through said landscape, double check.
Painted Ponies
This has always been one of my most popular images at art shows. I've made and sold a 30x42 mixed media piece, and one 16x20 with a different color frame. This is the last mixed media piece I will do of this image, and I love the copper color frame on this one. It's part of my end of season sale at $125 and that includes shipping. Don't miss out on this beautiful 16x20 one of a kind piece.
As any photographer can tell you, the day you actually have your camera, the wildlife choose not to cooperate. These guys live in the reeds along the path of my morning run. They are always out, visible, and singing nicely. Until the day I decide to just walk there, with camera in hand. Then they are allusive, hidden in the reeds, and generally uncooperative. I did manage a few ok shots though.
His Royal Raven
With his Fancy Dancy feathers, this raven is sure he is super special. And he is!
This is one of the pieces in the end of season sale, going on now. So be sure to check it out.
Curves, lines, and textures. And a pretty good glare.
Always aware of the camera, George gave his best cheesy grin.
Today is Moose Monday.
I've added several new 16x20 mixed media panels to my end of season sale page, including these wonderful moose!!
Be sure to check it out, link in the comments.
Majestic Moose.
This beautiful 30x42 mixed media piece is just one of the pieces available in my end of season sale. This size is deeply discounted to $1100 and would look wonderful in any home.
Every piece is hand made, and one of a kind. Link in the comments for more information, or to make a purchase.
Excessive cuteness alert! Antelope squirrels, just doing squirrel things. These little ones are zoomy fast, but if you can get a good image of them, cute as can be.
Bird Amidst the Roses.
This pretty little 16 x 20 mixed media piece is just one item up for grabs in my end of season sale. Normally $275, now $125 including shipping.
This little hummer needs a good forever home. ☺

Yesterday was a raven kind of a day. I'll take it!
Sassy Goat, and Little Sassy Goat.
Two more new "Off the Wall" images that I'll be making into mixed media art. The momma goat will be a 30x36 piece, and the Little Sassy one will be an 18x24. I think they will be sooo cute together, and look great in someone's home.
More pics to come when I get the pieces finished. Meanwhile, both of the images are up on my Pixels website.
