Not my usual style but a very specially commission delivered this week in a very giant size (A1). The customer wanted this special poem in memory of her mother. She also wanted an arching tree with just green leaves to add a bit of colour to the black and white drawing.

It’s been a bit of a somber and then a very busy week, hence very little posting. But looking forward to a sunny half term next week.

Challenging myself to create more and see where it leads. Here’s yesterdays work.

Less fun house more…house of mess and chaos this weekend. Bank holiday Monday is needing to be spent catching up on house work and washing before we disappear either under a heap of washing or a heap of washed washing yet to be put away 😫🙈 I wish there was a magic fairy who did it all…alas it must be me who is the fairy and it is my least favourite of all adulting tasks!!!

Last weekend we celebrated the 90th birthday of the queen of our family, my granny and Darcey and Margot’s GG. Still with the spirit of a 21 year old she celebrated in style and with many of her children and grandchildren. Never one to give away her age she would always tell me, ‘I’m as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth’ but I think it’s safe to say we made sure to tell everyone we came across over the weekend what a wonderful milestone she was celebrating.

The parrots have been popular this month 😊 remember I can personalise the background colour and add text to any design.

Darcey loving life as a little scientist yesterday with to celebrate her 6th birthday. I love that girls are so much better represented in STEM now and are inspired by all the wonderful work they are exposed to in the real world. She was fully committed to the role…even asking for her hair to be done ‘how scientist have it’ 😂

A sneak peek at Darceys new mermaid room that has been working on this weekend. A desk and wardrobe still to upcycle and a some other bits to go up on the walls but it’s finally carpeted and she’s moved in 😊 🧜‍♀️ We’ve tried to us as many things we already had, or items that were second hand or bought from small businesses. The lamp I was desperate to use so when we decided to d need to keep the spot light (that we’re originally in our walk in wardrobe here) to avoid a massive electrician bill I had to think of a way I could still use it. The shelves I found for £5 each in a charity shop and the prints are from other small businesses in thrifted frames. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the room.

Another day another day in the garden! But I’ll share that tomorrow. For now here’s one of my fav Palm Springs print. Of Palm Springs city Hall with their famous palm trees reaching through the roof.

24/03/2023

As the sun has been shining today I thought it was a good time to share this little print. A4 £10 plus p&p (free if local drop off) other sizes available.

The pergola roof is fixed and now waterproofed ready for some plants and cushions when the weather warms up. This was yesterday and today it’s snowing 🤪 crazy March weather.

In between the decorating, when the sun is shining we’ve been working on the garden. has made a lot of climbing frame progress this weekend. The wall will have some climbing grips, a fireman’s pole and swing will come from the platform, a bridge from the playhouse to the tower and a trapeze and climbing net to be added to the monkey bars. Hopefully it will entertain the ferrel children this summer 🤪

Getting the right light at the right time to photograph and put these new designs on Etsy is proving very difficult in the dark time of year. I've just about managed to get 'Palm Springs City Hall' captured before it becomes too dark. Swipe to see the inspiration for this one!

I have one copy packaged and ready to go £10 including p&p. PayPal or bank transfer ☺️
