Justin Field
Hello! My name is Justin Field, author of "To Be Known." Looking forward to hearing from you!
In addition to writing, I love reading, music, and travel, and connecting with people who share similar interests.
We'll be scaring up a good time this weekend at the Tattered Pages annual Scare-o-thon! Plenty of spooky books and giveaways. I'll be online Sunday at 4:30 PST, but there will be plenty of other amazing authors all day throughout the weekend. Hope to see you!

56 years ago, "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" debuted and is still an annual television tradition! Is this your favorite Charlie Brown holiday special?
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (TV Movie 1966) - IMDb It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Directed by Bill Melendez. With Peter Robbins, Christopher Shea, Sally Dryer, Cathy Steinberg. The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween while Linus waits for the Great Pumpkin.
We're well into October. Always looking for recommendations on the scariest books or movies you've read/watched.
I've always wanted to make a buche de Noel, so since I had a rare free morning, I thought I'd give it a practice run to see if I could tackle it. Definitely a long process, and I can work on the roll better, but overall I'm happy with it. I think I'll do it again for the holidays.
Several coffee chains have announced their fall drink lineups; Christmas has a mini-celebration in July; and Halloween is starting to creep into stores. Do you enjoy getting into the holiday spirit early (or, in some cases, very early), or has it gone overboard?
Give a shout-out to your favorite bookstore!
-- you guys are awesome. If you're ever in Lincoln City, OR, be sure to stop by. This is a wonderful maze of a bookstore that I could get lost in for literally hours.

I'll be over at Tina Hogan Grant's 'Read More Books' page throughout the day, celebrating its 3-year anniversary and hosting a giveaway. Hope to see you there! https://www.facebook.com/groups/tinahogangrant
And this week only!! "To Be Known" is on sale for only 99 cents on Kindle! Now's your chance to pick up a copy at its lowest price ever. https://www.amazon.com/Be-Known-Justin-Field-ebook/dp/B08L9SY8YR
It's National VCR Day! (Who knew?)
Do you still have any old VHS tapes laying around? I got rid of a ton of mine years ago, but as I get older and the nostalgia sets in, it's been fun hunting on Ebay for some of my old favorites. (Personally, I think the artwork was incredible -- covers/posters today can't hold a candle to older eras.)

**Updated List**
I'm so excited to join Tina Hogan Grant and lots of other amazing authors on Wednesday, June 22, as her group 'Read More Books' celebrates its three-year birthday!
It'll be a day full of giveaways and exciting chances to discover new books. Hope to see you there!

Wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Mom, thank you for all your love, support, and encouragement. I miss you, but you're thought of always. Love you!
If you're ever in Bend, Oregon, be sure to stop by Blockbuster Video.
What do you think, does physical media need to make a comeback? Or did it never leave? I know for me it hasn't. As much as streaming is quick and convenient, there's nothing like holding a book or a video or a CD in your hands. I miss walking up and down the aisles looking for something to rent or buy, and all you had to go on was the cover, description, and perhaps a staff recommendation.
Join me tomorrow beginning at 1pm PST for an author takeover and giveaway, where I'll be sharing a new excerpt from "To Be Known" and chatting with fellow readers.

BOOK REVIEW:
DANGEROUS LEDGES, by Fallon Raynes
Liza McAllister wakes up one day... trapped, kidnapped. After catching her husband cheating, she had been determined to start life anew, but Ledge McAllister won't let her go that easy. Now, Liza finds herself in jeopardy as she tries to plot an escape plan without arousing 'the Demon' inside her ex. She's walking on egg shells, and one wrong move could threaten her life.
Fallon Raynes's thriller throws a few curve balls throughout, though I was drawn from the beginning and rooting for Liza the entire time. I had several theories as to what was going to happen next, or why, but the author took a few unconventional approaches to keep things fresh and unpredictable. To say more might spoil plot details, so I'll leave it to you to find out.
The third act of the novel finds detectives scrambling to piece together Liza's location. But they're racing against time, for Ledge is determined -- very determined -- not to lose Liza again.

Let the debate begin! Best Christmas/holiday movie and TV episode?
Ever since I was old enough to write, I’ve always had a passion for telling stories...
I’m especially interested in suspense, mystery, and thrillers, and being an avid reader and filmgoer, I’ve been inspired by the likes of Stephen King, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Michael Haneke and David Lynch. When I’m not writing, I enjoy music, travel, and enjoying the great Pacific Northwest with my amazing wife and two children.
I look forward to connecting with you. I know 2020 has been a crazy year, and I strongly believe in encouraging and supporting each other.
Best always,
Justin
