We lost a great U.S. Army leader, Lt. Gen. (R) David E. Grange Jr. He served with distinction for 41 years where he led Soldiers in 20 campaigns as an infantryman in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was later inducted into the Ranger Hall of Fame. Every year, the top Rangers from across the Army compete in the Lt. Gen. David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition. The memory of Lt. Gen. Grange and his service and commitment to our Army will inspire generations to come.

This week we lost a great patriot and Soldier For Life, Mr. Arnold Fisher. He served his country as a corporal in the Korean War. After his service, he carried on a tremendous legacy of patriotism and dedication to taking care of those who served. It is a legacy our U.S. Army Soldiers strive to honor every day. The Fisher House Foundation, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and many other significant contributions have had profound impacts on our wounded warriors and family members. He will be greatly missed.

This week marks a major milestone in the most significant transformation of the U.S. Army in forty-years. We are excited to release the long-awaited update to Field Manual 3-0 “Operations”, the most consequential evolution in Army doctrine since Air Land Battle. This new doctrine prepares us to train for and win the future fight.
