And just like that, another pick your own pumpkins season is over! Despite the rain this weekend, what a great few weeks it has been. We hope you enjoyed it when you may have visited us!

Every year we strive to make your experience the best it can be, so we hope to see you again next year for lots more fun, delicious cakes, and of course pumpkins! We may even have a few more surprises in store…

Of course have a very happy Halloween for the 31st! Don’t forget to tag us in any pictures of your pumpkins carved from us! We would love to see them!

We have 50 pumpkins remaining which we will be selling from the trailer at the farm.

Following on from our post last night, we have another update for today…

Unfortunately the rain has got the best of us and due to the weather last night, the field is now inaccessible for parking. Therefore, we are going to transport the pumpkins on a trailer down to Pooks Farm (look for the ‘Pooks Farm PYO Pumpkin’ signs between the shell petrol stations and planters) Where there is accessible parking down the farm driveway outside the house.

We will be selling pumpkins at the farm between 10-4.

Quick update about this weekend!

We will be open on Saturday 10-4 but due to the weather conditions today there will not be parking in the field so we will be selling our pumpkins from the trailer at the top of the field.

On Sunday (depending on the weather) we plan to be back to normal service (10-4) with pick your own pumpkins, delicious cakes and tractor rides.

We still have lots of pumpkins to pick and tractor rides are available throughout today. Or pop up for a walk around the field with a coffee and cake.

We are open today and tomorrow (10am - 4pm).

The rain won’t dampen our spirits this morning! Lots of pumpkins still to be picked and delicious cakes and bakes on offer.

On the menu from Wendy’s Wheely Good Homemade Cakes (😏) today :

- pumpkin cupcakes (special)
- lemon and elderflower cupcakes
- honey and almond cake

All made with ingredients from Pooks Farm.

Saturday 14th October (6pm - 8pm)

Pick your own pumpkins at twilight and lots more!

Light up gift for every child, tractor ride, prizes on offer for finding the black pumpkin and also for a fancy dress competition! (There is a prize for both children and the adults!)

Refreshments will be available throughout the evening.

Adults: £3
Children (under 18): £2

We will be open for pick your own pumpkins every weekend leading up to Halloween (between 10am - 3pm). See below for dates.

- 14 / 15 October
- 21 / 22 October
- 28 / 29 October

Remember there is no need to book, just turn up and there is plenty of parking in the field.

Evening everyone,

Rest assured, Pooks Farm Pick Your Own Pumpkins is opening this year - the catch is, it’s FOR ONE WEEKEND ONLY!

On 22-23 October, we will be open from 10am till 4:30pm selling all our pumpkins and gourds for this year.

The reality is this year has been super difficult for growing anything. Whilst the summer was lovely and hot, the pumpkins didn’t enjoy it. Coupled with the lack of rain this has had a considerable impact on this years crop. It is hugely upsetting for us as we definitely didn’t envisage this when we were planting our 3,000 seeds earlier in the year!

That said, we know that you will all be there this year to support us through this blip to allow us to be able to be back next year up and running as usual.

Please do pop along on 22-23 October to come and grab your pumpkins, we really look forward to seeing you all!

You may be surprised to hear from us in May… but we are very excited to tell you that Pooks Farm Pick Your Own Pumpkins will be returning for another year this October!!

This weekend we have been very busy preparing the field and planting the seeds which includes lots of new and exciting varieties.
