Oh my goodness, my first (and last!) Hyper real paper flowers are FINALLY finished!
I am really pleased with how they turned out but they really are very fiddly to make and I don't really have the patience. I persevered because they are a gift. But yeah. Defford a one off! They took at least 30 hours to make and there are plenty of other things that need making instead!
Crafting and cake is winning combination....exciting times ahead!
Had a go at a few new stitches for this piece
I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Tried a bit of stumpwork to give the anchor a 3D feel, added some mini felt flowers, beads, and reclaimed trinkets.

Took a little trip to The Red House, the house William Morris designed and built. I lived around the corner from it for 10 years and never found the time to go!
It's now owned by the National Trust and they have been doing a lot of restoration work, uncovering some of the original artwork on the walls and ceilings.
Such a beautiful place to visit

This may take some time....yes the frame has been dusted off and let's see how it turns out.
Ruing the day I said I'd finish all the kits I had first before buying more!
Finally back to doing some stitching! Loving this sampler of stitches to learn some new ones for some embroidery pieces I want to work on.
Finally getting over my fibro flare which made my hands too sore to stitch, but I got lots of reading done!

Loved all the different stitching I got to do on this one π
Little piece I have finished tonight. I've had to give up trying to match the number of hoops completed to the number of books I have read ππ€£ I do work full time.....well until I win the lottery and I can read and stitch all day, unless that is a job....?
