☘️ In Loving Memory of Shirley O'Reilly☘️
Shirley was the heart and soul behind the Shamrocks Netball Club. Shirley's remarkable journey, spanning an incredible 70 years, was marked not only by her dedication to the sport of netball but also by her unwavering commitment to our community.
Shirley was more than just a founder; she was a visionary. Seven decades ago, she planted the seed that would grow into the vibrant and tightly knit Shamrocks family we know today. Her passion for netball was infectious, and she believed in the power of the sport to bring people together, to forge bonds, and to foster personal growth.
Under Shirley's steadfast leadership, the Shamrocks Netball Club flourished. She was a mentor, coach, and friend to generations of players, instilling in them not just the skills of the game but also the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance. Her impact extended far beyond the netball court, shaping the character and futures of countless individuals.
Shirley's commitment to the Shamrocks was nothing short of awe-inspiring. She poured her heart and soul into the club, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure its success. Her dedication was a beacon of inspiration for all of us, a reminder that passion and hard work can create something enduring and beautiful.
As we mourn the loss of Shirley, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind. She may no longer be with us in person, but her spirit lives on in the heart of the Shamrocks Netball Club and in the countless lives she touched.
Rest in peace, dear Shirley, and thank you for the decades of dedication, love, and inspiration you brought to our lives. 💚🖤
Well that’s a wrap learners round robin, it’s all about fun and learning the game and positions. What a bunch of stars these kids are and the sportsmanship the other clubs showed by allowing their club members fill in for us. Thanks shandi short for coaching these go getters. Thanks mums, dads, grandparents etc. I love they you all let the kids play the game it’s definitely not about winning in this grade. They gave it their all
As well as that tonight we had a first these two have been aching to give umpiring a go and tonight they did lots more mentoring needed but tonight they stepped up to ump what I believe is one of the hardest grades to learn to umpire on
Well done to all that participated in the Quorn Carnival today. Thank you to Vicki Anderson, Emily Hall, Kristy Tuip, Sarah Reed for coaching and umpiring. It was a great day had by all. Also a huge thank you to Magpies netball club, for giving us some extra players, and a job well done to Quorn netball club for a successful day.
We would just like to say a huge thank you and well done to our little Fun Net girls. They has their last training night on Thursday night, and we decided to have some fun and dress on our PJ’s.
