Juliana Laine Lagula from St. Joseph College of Novaliches brings School Divisions Office (SDO) Caloocan's second gold medalist for the nationwide sporting event.

Lagula, a Lone Swim Athlete National Capital Region's (NCR) delegate, secured the gold medal in 4x100 Freestyle (13x18 mix) and the silver medal in 4x50 Freestyle Relay during the Palarong Pambansa 2024 at Cebu City.

He will now level up to the National Schools Press Conference as one of the 𝙍𝙀𝙋𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙀𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙎 for National Capital Region, competing with different News Writers across the nation.

We are unstoppable. The careful preparation and trainings of the JOURNsephites paid off and brought home honors and probity to the school recently at the 2024 Division Schools Press Conference with the theme “The Role of Campus Journalism in Fostering DepEd MATATAG, Addressing Literacy, and Charting a New Path”.

Our school just made history—making it as 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 out of 46 public and private schools around Caloocan! 🏆

Despite the experienced pandemic and other calvaries, the ink of the pen remained and the desire to serve continued to burn. Together we will discover and preserve the integrity and principles of true and honest journalism. 📰

There is nothing sweeter than the success that comes from hard work. Enjoy every bit of it, JOURNsephites! 🥂
