The stunning, natural bride look from today. She wanted a very natural look, and it suited her so well with her blonde hair! She looked amazing. I wish I had gotten a photo after her hair was done, because I was still at the venue and didn’t even think of it 🤦‍♀️ but, when the bride looks this good before even doing her hair or putting jewelry on, that says something!!

I’ve been MIA lately…not because I haven’t been busy, but quite the contrary, actually. I’ve been TOO busy. I’ve been slacking on posting, juggling wedding makeup, photoshoot clients, keeping up with a toddler, and working another job too. But I’m still alive and well 🙂 definitely need to catch up on posting all of my recent clients, but for now- here’s a bridesmaid from today! She was absolutely lovely and I had to compliment her Australian accent on more than one occasion.

This look was gorg on her! A notch up from “natural” but still nothing too intense. I think the color scheme and overall style of makeup just suited her so well. 🤍

So, you’re wondering what you need to bring for your makeup session? Ultimately, you don’t have to bring anything at all! BUT, there are some things I recommend…. 🙂

1. I will always have either
a. A new tube of mascara we can use or
b. The little disposable spoolies / mascara to use on you.
HOWEVER, seeing as I don’t often have a new tube of mascara, I end up resorting to using the disposable spoolies on my clients. It’s definitely doable/workable, so mascara isn’t a must… but I will say, it is much easier to apply mascara with the true wand! So if you can remember it, I recommend bringing your own mascara for these reasons!

2. I’ve mentioned this in another post, but if you are a bride, I recommend wearing white so you can get the full effect of what your makeup will look like when wearing white! I also recommend to all clients that want me to put glow / bronzing products on their chest and collar bones / shoulders to wear a shirt that buttons down so we can easily reach those areas.

3. Inspo pics, but these are definitely not a requirement! Honestly, most of the time I actually love working without an inspo pic. However, if you have a very specific look that you’re really wanting to achieve, I recommend having the inspo pic ready to show so I can have a good understanding of what look you want to achieve!

4. Any specific makeup products that you really love. I will of course have multiple options of everything we could need, but if you know that you have a product(s) that you’re obsessed with & can’t live without- then feel free to bring it!! I won’t be offended if you want me to use some of your own products on you, but of course this is also never a requirement!

Another pretty bridesmaid — her eye color really popped with this look; so naturally pretty!

Sweet Sierra! I loved doing this simple look on her. I “flared out” the outer edges of her eyes with a half lash and some winged liner- I loved this look with her eye shape and the lip color with her skin tone and eye color. 💗
