Creating a new border in a new build garden. Turf removed, Everedge installed and 123 plants put in their new home. Love a blank canvas and a opportunity to get creative.
A very wet day outside so we had some time in the workshop being creative with some bits of wood and slate, hey presto, one giant bug hotel and a couple of bird boxes.
Snuggled up for winter. Remember to keep any prunings in tact behind trees or under hedges to create a habitat for wildlife during the colder months.
Prairie meadow front garden by betterborders is in its third year and well established. The planting offers enormous opportunities for wildlife, from providing nectar and pollen from late-flowering perennials to shelter for overwintering insects.

Colour intensity in the garden at the moment is superb.

A bit of spring sunshine brings out the bees and butterflies, here they are both enjoying the Aubretia on a very sunny stone wall
Despite the heavy downpours, the low autumn sunshine makes the garden glow and the autumnal colour pop.

Some people are very clever at upcycling, here I am testing a prototype upcycled fire bowl made by a friend rrp £155 planning to make more to sell for £95 at craft fairs
This is one way to keep your potted plants happy and hydrated during the heatwave without wasting water, however, no room for me to dip my toes in.

Better Borders
Better Borders is a new venture born out of a passion for gardening, the outdoors and protecting wildlife. Chemical free methods used where possible. Growing from seed and propogation and division. This venture will provide gardening services to wiltshire and surrounding areas; weeding, planting, soil improvement, lawn care, light pruning.
