Extend the L-Plate

Extend the L-Plate

The UK relies on delivery riders for everything from medical supplies to shopping, many of whom ride on L-plates valid for 2 years. Extend the L-plate now.

Good news about the MOT extension, but what about a CBT extension too?

While waiting to be let in the chemists for to collect a prescription yesterday I noticed three medical couriers come and go, all on scooters, all with L-plates.

Deliveroo, Uber Eats etc are getting together with supermarkets to ensure food supply to the vulnerable and elderly. The vast majority of their riders are on L-plates.

We all know it's going to be a long time for normality to resume, during which time there'll be L-plate riders who will no longer be able to make essential journeys because they can't renew their CBT.
