Kingdom transformation began immediately at the new birth. Everything in this life first began in the spirit – the unseen realm – including your salvation. When you received Jesus as Lord, your spirit was immediately translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Spiritually, we have already been translated over into this new kingdom, however, our soul, and body must now also experience transformation. This kingdom is meant to consume our entire being, bringing
transformation to all areas of our life.

Paul wrote to the Ephesians, “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will” (Eph. 1:4-5). It is our predestined purpose to be like our God, to be holy and without blame. This is the reason He planned to make us sons, providing a way in which we can be born of God, born of His Spirit and born from above, taking on a new nature and a new image. It is His will and His pleasure that we are found blameless and holy. He has provided for us, through the sacrifice of Jesus, a level of blamelessness and holiness that mankind could never achieve on their own.

Notice that Colossians 1:27-29 says we can be presented to God in a perfected state “in Christ.” That “in Christ” position is perfect and blameless. Our born-again spirit is “in Christ,” therefore our born-again spirit is perfect, and complete “in Christ.”

Christ in us is the power that is able to perfect or sanctify every believer. ​If we are going to live a set apart life, we must make it our focus to give ourselves over to this active working power in our spirit (the only power/person, truly able to sanctify).
