What is going on in Alabama? The United Nations has raised alarms about human rights violations at Alabama's decision to make Kenneth Smith the first person to die via suffocation by nitrogen. This is Kenneth's second attempted ex*****on after the state of Alabama failed to execute him the first time via lethal injection.

But Alabama is relentless - they will go after someone until they are dead, whether that person is going to be suffocated, or whether that person is innocent, like Toforest Johnson.

Toforest Johnson has been on Alabama's death row for decades, despite no evidence proving his guilt. Listen to the riveting investigation behind Toforest Johnson’s death sentence, and the fight for his freedom and his life in the podcast “Earwitness,” hosted by Beth Shelburne (): lavaforgood.com/earlanding

Kim Kardashian joins a growing list of individuals advocating for the freedom of Toforest Johnson, a man sitting on Alabama death row despite having a credible alibi and the state having unreliable evidence. The original prosecutor in Toforest’s case, a man who champions the death penalty, is now calling for a new trial.

Three aviation experts have raised doubts about the plane theory used to convict Michigan’s “ninja killer,” Temujin Kensu. They wrote letters to Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in support of Kensu’s clemency bid, questioning the theory that he could have chartered a private plane to travel across the state, commit the murder, and return without leaving a trace. The experts’ letters cast doubt on the credibility of the witness and the feasibility of the plane theory.

This development is significant as Kensu has been fighting to overturn his murder conviction for over 30 years, and his clemency application is currently pending before the Michigan Parole Board. The letters challenge the basis of Kensu’s conviction and may impact the decision on his clemency application.

Did you know? Contrary to the hype on social media, crime rates in urban downtowns are actually on the decline! The New York Times just shattered the perception with stats showing a 13% drop in homicides in Chicago, 11% in New York, and a whopping 25% decrease in shootings. 🚨 So, would it surprise you that the reality doesn’t match the ‘crime dens’ narrative some politicians claim?

Former NYPD Officer Gina Mestre’s shocking betrayal: From aiding a federal investigation to abetting a criminal on the run. In a disturbing twist, she not only tipped off gang leader Andrew Done but actively facilitated his escape after he committed murder. The aftermath? A web of deceit, compromised justice, and a city on the brink. Now, as the legal dust settles, Mestre faces the consequences of her actions, pleading guilty to accessory after the fact to murder.

The stark truth: those sworn to protect and serve must be held accountable when they betray the public trust.

Former Alabama Attorney General Bill Baxley has never been one to shy away from supporting the death penalty. When the U.S. Supreme Court outlawed the death penalty in the 1970s, it was Baxley who worked to bring ex*****ons back to Alabama.

But there is one death penalty case in his home state that has his attention: that of Toforest Johnson, who is on death row after being charged with the 1995 killing of William Hardy, a Jefferson County deputy sheriff.

In 1995, Deputy Sheriff William G. Hardy was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama, leading to Johnson's wrongful conviction despite multiple alibi witnesses placing him far from the crime scene. For over two decades, he has languished on Alabama's death row. Investigative journalist Beth Shelburne's probe exposed a deeply flawed criminal justice system, with no physical evidence or eyewitnesses linking Toforest to the crime. The case hinged on the testimony of an ‘earwitness’ who was paid for her testimony, a secret concealed from the defense for 17 years.
