This was the closest I’ve come to a perfect day. Broke all my goals besides breaking a 400lbs deadlift on the platform and man did it sting lol. It was a bittersweet ending, but still an amazing meet. I’m always thankful for the privilege and opportunity to compete. Thank you to and and to everyone who watched and supported 💙
The bar is loaded for Day 3 of Collegiate Nationals!! Good luck to all of our ladies competing today!!!

Repost from High School Nationals: When I joined Neenah Powerlifting half way through the season in 7th grade, Joe made me stand up in front of the entire team of scary high schoolers to introduce myself. From that moment on, I knew that this sport would be my favorite. I have gained so much from it: confidence, resilience, perseverance, a family… Powerlifting is so much more than moving weight around. It’s about facing your fears head on so you leave with no regrets, and to give it your all when things get hard (I listened !). I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that this sport has provided for me and I will forever cherish the memories created. To all of the coaches I have had throughout the years, the seniors that graduated before me, the classes that will graduate after me, my own senior class, the dorks, and especially .janichek, thank you all for contributing to this chapter of my life that is soon to close. I couldn’t have done it without you all ❤️

Repost .lifts Nationals 2024
Went into this meet knowing I wasn’t going to place and wanted to redeem myself after state. The goal was to have fun and hit some pr’s.
Squat:
My original third attempt was going to be 132.5kg/292lbs but my first attempt didn’t count so I had to readjust. They said my knees unlocked before the head judge gave the start command. After that I took my first attempt again and still got a pr.

Bench:
I wanted to attempt 137 again after not getting it at state but didn’t get there. Forgot leg drive on my second attempt so it did not move. Took the same attempt for my third and got it.

Deadlifts:
Came in wanting to get at least 2/3 to count and did that. There were not any big goals for deadlifts as they have been a struggle all season. The offseason will definitely have a big focus on them.

This was such a great meet and it reminded me why I love the sport. The environment that’s created at meets is amazing and everyone is so supportive. One last year.

2024 JV equipped girls 56kg NATIONAL CHAMPION🥇
Meet overview
Starting with squat, coach noticed that the judges were being a little bit strict on the depth call for squat and i have been struggling get depth in my suit here and there and didn’t wanna chance me bombing out. Ended up making a decision to just go raw.
Bench, i got a new bench shirt about two weeks before the state and and wasn’t able to reach my chest to use the bench shirt for state. I started struggling the last week with the bench shirt so we used my lose one for my first attempt to get on the board. Then made a quick change surprised many people in it and went to go and make an ALL TIME platform pr the highest ever. The third attempt was soo close to locking it out.
Deadlift, has been my strongest lift for some reason and out of no where the other day in practice i made an all time pr in the weight room of 285lbs. I have been struggling with hip pain for a couple months now and deadlift hurts it the most. Got my first no problem went for my second and i know i could’ve but my hip hurt way to much, so decided to just scratch instead of continuing to hurt myself.
Final - The over all goal was to use this meet to qualify for the world cup as varisity which is in june. Found out that to be JV for world cup it’s 16 and under, i turn 16 in a month, which makes me varsity. The goal now is to go a Limitless meet on may 18th to qualify for the world cup.

Repost Meet Number 10!
Guys, WE ARE GOING TO NATIONALS!! I cannot tell you how much this means to me. I have been trying to reach these numbers for years. I came so close last year and after falling short, I really struggled to want to stay in this sport. After a couple months of inconsistency and the Greed Island Meet, I regained my drive and love with this sport with a lot more patience. Coach and I put in the work. We found things that worked for my lifts and we never let off the gas until we secured this. (I’m pressing down even harder now) After some life stressors and a 10+ pound cut, we put together the perfect day.
💜Squat: 352.7lbs (16.5lb Meet PR)
Squats blew up for me over the last year, but they definitely worried me the most. After not responding well the last time I cut, I was worried they would suffer. BUT, we came in with a different approach and they really showed up! Extremely happy with how they went.
💜Bench:159.8lbs (Matched Meet PR)
Bench decided to give me a little scare. After failing my second attempt, I began to panic. My back was giving me some issues and I felt I couldn’t get in my arch. We retook the same weight for my third and (thank God) I got it. One of these days I will bench a red in comp.
💜Deadlift: 418.9lb (11lb Meet PR)
My absolute favorite lift. Nothing to say but I am extremely proud of this. Secured Nationals on the second pull and I told Coach I just wanted to PR on the platform and the 418 was the perfect call.
Total: 422.5kg/931.5lb (27.7lb Meet PR)
First and Foremost, a huge thank you to my coach. When I say I could not have done it without him, I truly mean it. The amount of s**t he has put up from me and still has gotten me to succeed in my goals. This man is a magician with weight cuts and attempt selections. Reggie, WE ARE GOING TO NATIONALS. And a special thanks to everyone who knew I was competing and supported me. Dani, I cant express the amount of appreciation I have for you. All the walks and phone calls. Your support was a massive pillar for me. Of Course, the amazing team I have behind me. And lastly my boys, you are my biggest motivators and this was for you.

ABOUT THE LEAGUE
USA Powerlifting, established in 1981 as the American Drug Free Powerlifting Association, Inc, is the leading drug-tested powerlifting organization in the United States.
Distinct from weightlifting, a sport made up of two lifts: the Sn**ch and the Clean-and-Jerk, where the weight is lifted above the head, powerlifting comprises three lifts: the Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. Powerlifting competitions may be comprised of one, two or all three of the lifting disciplines.
Athletes are categorized by s*x, age and bodyweight. Each competitor is allowed three attempts at each lift, the best lift in each discipline being added to their total. The lifter with the highest total is the winner. In cases where two or more lifters achieve the same total, the person with the lightest bodyweight wins.
USA Powerlifting is responsible for sanctioning local and regional events where powerlifters can compete in hopes of qualifying for the national level events. USA Powerlifting sanctions several National Championships in all age groups, giving athletes a chance to see how they fare against competitors across the country. Top competitors are selected by USA Powerlifting to compete in the USA Powerlifting Pro Series with an opportunity to achieve their Pro Card.
In the United States, USA Powerlifting has representative chairs in each states. Each state chair is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of USA Powerlifting’s local competitions, state championships and state records. USA Powerlifting operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. An Executive Committee, headed by the President, is responsible for the operations of the organization. Additional responsibilities include directing the national office and supervising sponsorship and membership activities.
