We partnered with Talent Solutions and to bring insights from discussions around Industry 4.0 in the Healthcare and Pharma sector, to life.

The scribes are done live, when the discussions are happening, with my iPad projecting my work in a screen, visible to the attendees. Post the discussion, the attendees gather around to se their inputs captured in captivating visuals. The amusement and excitement on their faces is what is the highlight of the event. It let’s them know their inputs were valued. It gives them a summary of the entire conversation in one glance. It also became the spot where everyone had their phones out. capturing these scribes for themselves, enquiring if they will get a digital copy on mail.
The scribe was also shared by most attendees on LinkedIn, spreading the important points that came out during the discussions!!

So much with just one live graphic recording :)

while live graphic-recording I am often deeply lost in the process- listening-visualising-drawing. This was one of the few talks where I was also enjoying the talk and not just the process. I found myself clapping, smiling and looking up from my screen to just be in the moment as well.

Last couple weeks have literally been just a lot of good food and long walks at cubbon park!

Work has been pretty slow, so I've been trying hard to not stress and work on myself before a storm of projects take over my life again! 🤞

I took a trip and I drew some experiences.

Himachal is beautiful. It's green, like a million shades of green. It's a different green with every mountain you cross. It's a new shade depending on where the sun is. The huge rocks sitting on the course of a river, with water flowing around them, crashing fiercely, giving the perfect sound one needs in the background.

It was a 20 day trip, where I covered Dharamshala, Dharamkot, McLeod Ganj, Dalhousie, and Bir. My parents joined me for a week and we went paragliding together as we ended the trip at Bir. My mom kept saying that she still feels she was up in the air almost 2 days after the trip got over.

Here are a few pages that I managed to draw towards the start of my trip. Strangely, I did not feel like journaling or drawing anything for the second half of the trip. So many pretty places, and so many great experiences, all just saved in tiny memory boxes that I hope I will remember :)

Style is more than just how you draw something. Drawing is actually a rather tiny part of ones style. The bigger part is ones thinking process. These processes are so personal and intuitive to one, that it get's lost when we talk about STYLE. Also, it's not something you can copy. It depends on one's environment, their constraints and comforts, their journey, the tools they use and their relationship with them. You can't copy all that. So, why run after making something similar to theirs? Why not focusing on understanding your process and building it further?

Style for me is my thinking process. How I look at an idea, how I structure it and then put it on a paper. That is what helps me grow and evolve and mould myself according to the needs of a project or my interest. That is what seeps through my hands when I draw using any tool and on any medium. Practice is a small part of it. Practicing how to draw is an even smaller bit.

What is style to you?

Draw Your Thoughts Cohort:

The most difficult target I had set for myself in DYT Cohort 1.0 was to make sure the attendees experience a Visual Thinking shift and not just learn how to get comfortable with drawing their thoughts. Most of DRAWING after all happens in your head before it happens on the paper.

This set of feedback was what told me that I was on the right path. That I had built something good and that it had potential.

After almost a year of staying away from workshops, I’m starting 2023 with the hope that i’ll get to interact with more of you guys through these sessions! So, here’s a list of some upcoming sessions:

1. Mindful Doodling Workshop: If you're looking for 2 hours of relaxed doodling, reflection and story telling via doodles, this session will be your best pick. It's an interactive session with lot's of talking, sharing our work and listening to others walk us through their stories and reflections. It will leave you feeling relaxed and happy :)

2. Business Side of being an Artist: Starting to look at your art as a business is not easy. Detaching from your work, just enough to see it as a source of income, to be able to put a price tag and to be able to sell it is a journey in itself. You're not alone if you're feeling slow or lost in this journey. I felt that too and feel it even now. But hey, thats what these communities and workshops are for. To help us jump a few steps and learn things from other peoples mistakes. Learn everything, right from making a portfolio, presenting yourself, attracting the right audience, pricing your work, giving quotations to designing your Terms & Conditions and setting boundaries. Go through my recent quotations for a variety of projects and re-design your approach towards monetising your art.

3. Drawing Data: This session is for all the folks who find themselves in front of presentations very often. You must also be familiar with zoned out expressions and hidden yawns. The colourful graphs and clip art images are not doing the trick anymore. Learn how to make data fun! In this session, I will walk you through some very simple tricks and visual representations you can use to direct the audience's attention exactly where you need it to be.

It’s been more than 6 months since I completed this wall but I never really shared a picture with you guys!!

So, here’s me, trying to fill some gaps on my feed :)

A little about the idea and how this came into being:

I toyed with what to draw on this wall for more than a year and finally decided to just draw the first idea that I even just like. Right at that time I came across ‘s illustration with people bursting out of an elevator. I just lived the idea, the composition, the way it was presented. I loved everything about it and I knew that’s the direction I want to take. I did not think much and just started drawing. I knew from the start that I wanted to draw faces so this just made even more sense. I started with a window and drew all kinds of neighbours one can have peeping through it, be it a milkman, a watchman, a kid interested in art, a musician, an aunty who doesn’t understand why she’s hooked, a baker and a photographer.

This particular room has 2 walls, each representing one of the two brands that Dr. Sakthivel has built.

His ideas was to utilise this room for recoding his education material and conducting meeting and sessions.

The Hormone Clinic Wall is a illustrated map of Trichy. It highlights all important places of the city, famous eateries, historical monuments and the location of the clinic. The information section also tells people about some “must reads”.

Here’s what came out of my first live in-person sketch-noting event.

As IBM launched their new processor z16, I sketchnoted the is features during the key-note speech.

The experience was especially close to my heart because I got to see the sketchnote printed and framed. I got to see my work being gifted to every attendee, and I got to see people look at my work with awe!

By getting this sketchnote made, IBM not just hooked it's audience to the keynote speech while it was happening, they used the work to give people an experience.

The frames work as an unique product description and a marketing asset.
