Today met His Excellency Hon'ble Governor of Goa Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai along with Dr Rajan Mathew, College Director of Physical Education, to release the third Sports booklet of Department of Physical Education of Govt College Quepem (GCQ)
highlighting the achievement of the college in the field of sports, games, and athletics.
The booklet was also handed to Shri Prasad Lolayekar (IAS) Director of Higher Education.

Tree plantation drive in collaboration with Forest Department

Mr Deepak Gaonkar an alumni of the Chemistry Department of the college has clared CSIR-JRF in December 2020. Congratulations to him.

72nd Republic Day was celebrated at Government College, Quepem. Dr Deepa Prajith, Associate Professor in English was the Chief Guest.

Four staff members of our college received PhD degrees at the 32nd Convocation of Goa University. Dr Jaiprabhu in Marathi, Dr Deepa in English, Drs Sohani and Parasharam in Commerce.

Economics department organised an Inter collegiate event Trendz. Winners were Chowgule College, Margao and runners up were Govt. College, Khandola.

College team won 2nd place for JAM and Dance and 3rd place for theatre at Wordsup organised by St Xavier’s Mapusa.

Goa University team receiving Winners trophy in Inter collegiate cultural event BRAHMASHTRA held in our college on 11th Feb.

Students of Geography Department participated in the National level event GeoCarnival- Intercollegiate event at Modern College, Ganeshkhind, PUNE on 12 and 13 February and won the overall FIRST place for the Event.

International Mother Tongue Day was celebrated yesterday in the college.

Shantanu Aiya, Marathi honour student secured 2nd place in All Goa Shankar Ramani competition organised by Goa University on 13th February.

Our folk dance group participated in folk dance competition organised by Sau. Annapurnabai Madhavrav Dhavlikar Vidnyan Higher secondary school. The group won 1st place for the same.

The college team won the inter collegiate Kho Kho championship of Goa University
